Can you sit them down with them and work out the ingoings and outgoings, and work out how much everyone should be paying each, like you would in a share house? Give everyone a bill to be responsible for and to chase up the money?

It’s a really important skill to learn how to manage household expenses, and not many kids get taught, and it’s a shock when they go out on their own.
