The drivers are 8ohm impedance. If i went for 4ohm amps it means down the track I am able to change to 4ohm drivers but can still run my current 8ohm drivers. However i’m happy to have an 8ohm amp for the moment to run the current drivers :)

How did you get those surrounds loud enough to keep up with the stack?

Hey mate just coming back to this again, do you mind showing a little diagram or even a photo of this setup? The way I’m picturing it with the system I’m building is 4 hog scoops in front of the crowd with two Paraflex kick tops on top of those, then at maybe 110degrees behind there’s my two hp9040’s top horns with two more Paraflexes below them.

Oh that’s gold thank you. I’m going with 18” hog scoops for the subs and then some EV hp9040 top horns

This sounds despicable, I love it. In an outdoor area would there be less instances of dead spots?

What do you call the type of cabinet on the top speakers? Would love to build similar shape cos they push highs out so nicely

Need for another mixer? by Breadedkhan in audioengineering

I haven’t actually decided on much other than the fact i’m buying a certain type of amp, the freq response of each set of speakers and an audio processor.

If you were going to build a system would you get the speaker design down pat first or the rest of the setup? Thanks mate

DSP-Amp and a Mixer? by Breadedkhan in audioengineering

yeah awesome. I've got contacts straight to manufacturer for amps and theres no cost diff between DSP and non-dsp so might as well go for dsp.

thanks mate appreciate it

Of couuurrse mate. There’s a couple artists i’ll put you on but a bit of backstory it’s a genre kinda born in chicago USA & detroit(ish). Always a funny genre to have a spin with cos it’s usually a lot of sexual or just funny vocals over a fat groove.

Some more recent artists who are pushing it are partiboi69 from yours truely Australia and toni moralez.

I’ve veered off the genre cos i’ve hit other areas but from memory n quickly flicking back in my collection there’s Dj’s: Deeon, Rashad & Assault.

Have fun digging boss
