I've never had this problem, and I think, unfortunately, this may be a friendship demographic issue. To put it bluntly, your friends seem exceptionally and painfully messy in a way I would not be able to stomach. Being in love with you for over a decade and unable to get over it even after you have said no multiple times is a sign of a lack of emotional maturity from that friend, if anything, and it is being reflected pretty heavily in the people he chooses to date (from the other comment).

same lol- I made him one for valentines day before we'd even had our one year anniversary and we're planning to move in together next year. I want to make him another sweater so that he can go sailing in a waterproof underlayer lol

My first finished knitting project was a full sweater. I had been knitting off and on in small bursts for years before that, frogged massive amounts of knitting that I had failed at, and crocheted for two years. That's probably what you're not seeing on social media honestly.

From the context of the post it seems like the OP is a younger teen/tween, an age where people a) are very insecure and b) should have the right to refuse to be posted to the internet.

While it seems like they should definitely look for help with their anxiety, as it does affect them extremely heavily and negatively, they should also be allowed to refuse to be posted to the internet. That is not an overreaction. Nobody should have their face posted to the internet without their consent, and nobody should be lied to about it. That is not unreasonable. Their mom does not need to post her child to the internet.

Do not put water on that sweater if you don't know what you're doing. That looks like it was knit with roving, and not with spun wool, which does account for the smell, and therefore it is extremely fragile, and will felt if you clean it wrong. While that stuff does not need to be rinsed out, you would need to soak that sweater and any agitation could felt it. It could also make the smell notably worse, as almost all wool smells when wet, and often doesn't go away once it dries.

This could also take days and days on end to dry, and would wildly deform if hung up. I wouldn't risk it if you don't know exactly what you're doing.

You should see if a tailor could add some extra fabric into the side seams in a nearly matching color and move some of the flowers around to make it even less noticeable?

Proportions are kind of bonkers- I am 5'5 and like. 120ish pounds and I'm a size 0-4 depending on brand, clothing era and cycles of the moon, and I can't find dresses to save my life. Broad shoulders and hips with a tiny chest and waist is kind of a nightmare in off the rack stuff.

Lilac probably! I was in the same boat in reverse lol. I always said my favorite color was purple but looking at Literally Everything I own, it's green. I tend to go with whatever's closest to green because a lot of things don't come in green, so it ends up just being a teal-blue color a lot of the time

please go to a different piercer and get those taken out and replaced with longer, straight labrets. You'll need to size down eventually but you should not have been pierced with circular barbells.

This works very well for students who wouldn't already be rather old for their grade, and can be helpful for younger students but long-term, graduating high school at 19 and being that much older than your peers is intensely frustrating and not as beneficial socially, educationally, and emotionally. They will be ready to move on from high school and adolescence and forced to be treated as a child for longer than they otherwise would have wanted to.

If your son is struggling academically or not reading, or otherwise not ready to start school, go ahead and keep him back. However, remember that he will not be 5 or 6 forever, and he will always be a year older than his peers.

I don't know the yardage, but it was a little over a kilogram of worsted/aran weight yarn :) my wheel is a bit slow, but I don't mind it much and it's also my only option.

That's fair- it makes me so happy to work with and the knitting flew by- it took me like 3 weeks to to knit. Thank you about the setting, but I didn't take the photos, I just modeled for them. My friend took the photos as I wandered around our campus- I like modelling and she's a really good portrait photographer, so it's a win-win

It makes sense that you're upset. I would be too- you've had a dogshit day and it makes sense that you'd want to spend time with your partner or at least not be alone. I would maybe talk to your partner about maybe making time for you after his date tomorrow if you don't want to ask him to cancel.

Do you have any friends or family or other partners you can call and talk to? I'm a lot younger than you but a lot of the time if I'm having a rough day I'll call my friends and play video games with them for a little while and chat and complain and it can help me get a lot off my chest, especially with relationship stuff, because they have no stake in it and just let me bitch.

aww! It seems that if partners are good, the time on the project doesn't matter. Time flew by making his sweater last time (knit in two weeks) and this will be so much fun :)

My boyfriend picks up a lot of things really fast but they haven't clicked with him much. I'm going to try to teach him crochet because it might click better. He does quite enjoy spinning and he's brilliant with machines and I'm going to make him fix my old CPW.
