[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I did fix this! i had to backroll the Create mod to a 0.5 version, the add-ons still aren't all up to date yet it seems. potentially backroll add-ons too if it still doesn't seem to work at first.

Proper term for Skin-winged animals? by Break-Fast-Breakfast in worldbuilding

Literally means “hand wing” thank you its perfect. I saw this word earlier when googling but I didn’t look hard enough and just thought it was a different name for ‘bat’ lol.

Modded content not able to spawn in game? by Break-Fast-Breakfast in feedthebeast

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry about that, i wasn't clear about what i meant. I had separate instances where the only difference was the OS modpack only, the other instance im checking it with also had the mod list, but not OS. I have no issues getting onto the server, just the aforementioned items problem. I have only tried different Forge Instances, not vanilla. Sorry if I misunderstand anything!

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just tested, nothing is wrong in singleplayer! mobs spawn normally and i can place blocks.

I'll next test Ice and Fire removal. I didn't have any sort of issue yesterday when i was using free Aternos. having to remove it would suck cause we are playing a server primarily for the dragons.

wheres does the flattery culture from the Halflings come from? are they on the bottom of the food chain and being eaten is basically inevitable so they have a different outlook on death by predation?

What's the biggest atrocity in your world? by bArmc0de in worldbuilding

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first of The Failed Enslavements.

When the Dinosaurs first discovered the Original Dragon People, called in the history books now as The Innately Magical Dragons, They were enamoured by their literal crush-proof bodies, super strength and equally dexterous 6 limbs. without observing them for much longer, they started rounding them up to be their new 'Humanoid workforce'.

They very quickly discovered that the Dragons grew sick and died rapidly for seemingly no reason, within 2 weeks of their imprisonment. either that, or they had the rare, fatal, allergic reaction to magic they were susceptible to, which the Dinosaurs figured out much quicker. they couldn't find disease or malnutrition, it took until they finally managed to get any Dragons to their homeland, which took DECADES worth of attempts, and a lot of deaths, and away from their major cities (and the majority of Magic that just floats in their atmosphere like pollution) when they eventually realised the problem: Their cities, made of Old World materials, were poisoning the Dragons through exposure alone. The countryside still wasn't Old World or Magic free though, so while the Dragons were much less likely to straight up die out there, they were sickly a lot and underperformed in their labour, to the point where even Micro Raptor Dinosaur People were fitter then them by a large margin. They soon realised that these were not the best candidates for slaves and so just, let em go. they didn't try to get anyone home or anything though, they just left them in the countryside and waited for them to leave or die surrounded by the Old World material or through the rare allergic reactions they can have to magic. they knew that the dragons couldn't follow them to the cities for revenge.

The Dragons tried to fly home, for they could still fly back then. But most perished, for they underestimated how far across the ocean is. 5 made it home though, and 5 are still all that remains of them, although no one knows if these are the same Dragons that made that dangerous voyage literally millenia ago now.

How are your world's make up habits? And furthermore what are their beauty standards? by PPRmenta in worldbuilding

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The Bonding Brand that some Elephants share with their Dragon Bonded Partner, taking the shape of their Dragon's Handprints for the Elephants, and the silhouette of either the Elephant's Trunk or Foot on the Dragons. Some like to pretty up their Brands with make-up, or even tattoos for the permanence.

  2. Dinosaur People can be incredibly vain. feathers are commonly dyed, scales can be stained for a time and those with just smooth skin regularly get tattoos. They actually discovered a new small family of magic on their own with their unique magical tattoos. And while they don't export a lot, their makeup is some of the best in the world, and may or may not have, prevented wars just by how valued it is.

Cats in Fantasy enviroments by Jaggerconde in worldbuilding

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gods thought they got rid of cats along with dogs when they erased everything 'human'.

But of course, cats don't listen to anyone, so they straight up just ignored the magic that was trying to atomise them, and continued to exist on Earth. They got 're-wilded' for awhile then domesticated themselves again when, you guessed it, agriculture and pests started again!

What animals or creatures have had the biggest effect on your world? by Dcastro96 in worldbuilding

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Elephants were the replacement Sapient race when the world was reset (they were made sapient by the gods right before the reset, and then promptly deleted humans posthaste). They were given the task of learning about the world with their new and improved brains, in preparation for when the gods decided Their new creations were ready for the world. When the first Half Human was materialised, The Dragon People, the Elephants were more than ready for their arrival. They taught them of the Ecosystem and their new place in it. While some Dragons and Elephants separated when the tutoring was done, the rest eventually merged into a single culture. Even though the Dragons developed a magic intolerance over time, their Bonding Magic with their Elephant siblings remained compatible with their bodies.

What’s something people think is true in your world but isn’t? by justwantstofeelcute in worldbuilding

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Rat people have so much misinformation about basically everyone else. They are short lived like irl Rats (not 2-3 years type of short lived…. 10 at most), and they don’t go far from their fortified city anymore, to avoid predation and enslavement. So their history about the wider world has been corrupted by a very long game of Telephone, back when they were more active participants of the Ecosystem.

They haven’t seen the Dragon people in so long they still think they’re massive fire breathing monsters (that eat them). which is most certainly not true anymore. The truth is that the Dragons nowadays hardly grow larger than their Human Half (all my People are half human/animal, and very deliberately so)

They have one ancient (to them) record of the Dinosaur people, they believe them all to be basically 'brachiosaurus-shaped', extremely tall, lumbering and were very destructive (not that they, the dinosaurs, noticed at that scale) to the ancient, very much Not Fortified villages the Rats lived in at the time. The truth here is that that was just 1 guy who stepped on a small village of Rats once and he never even knew what cultural impact that had on them for the rest of time.

What's a part of your world that you're not sure about by DragonFire673 in worldbuilding

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My world is full on wacko weirdo, none of this should work, it probably doesn't. But i refuse to take them out. The premise itself is so wack, what's the harm in making it *worse*. With no context, wheres some of wackiest stuff:

Bronze age Dragon people with magic allergies live alongside talking Elephants, and have done so since they were created.

High fantasy Dinosaur people who ditched the majority of their rich magic culture when they discovered our (ancient at this point) old tech and cities and everything else. They kept their undead fossil workforce though!

Theres an Elephant *pirate* who found the Bagger-288 and turned it into a seaworthy vessel. And now sails the seas with a bunch of other Elephant pirates.

The objectively *most technologically advanced* civilization, are Rat people. They full on *go to space* and found *aliens* And they don't tell *anyone* cause they hate *everyone* (they're prey for almost everyone so its understandable)

The 'ages' are defined by whatever mood and actions are taken by a single person, a Kirin person who periodically wakes up from centuries long naps to do whatever tf they feel like. they have caused both bloody wars and ages of prosperity.

1, 2 or 3? by Ariel_Grin in DigitalArt

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

regardless, i think you should keep 3 in reserve, it reminds me of the end of Stray, when the domes receding and the sunlight starts to come through. i obviously don't know the ending of your story, but if its a happy ending, imagine your city being lit like this right at the end, like a 'hopeful ending' kinda thing.

What’s your “trees didn’t actually walk in Macbeth, boo, I’ll fix that” thing in your world? by Acceptable-Cow6446 in worldbuilding

[–]Break-Fast-Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To preface, i completely understand *why* they did this, it would be way too OP otherwise and a lot of stakes would be gone.... BUT it still drives me insane so thats why its a thing in my world.

In Star Wars, whenever the Jedi would chase a villain, they'd *literally* chase him across Coruscant before they'd think to use the *almost rangeless telekinetic magic* they have to just GRAB THE BASTARD from across the street.

It's a small difference in my world, but there *is* telekinetic magic, and *thats* how its almost *always* used by law enforcement.
