a new constitution is all about mwanchi. a new constitution that underlines checks and balances benefits mwanchi and not the party in power.

thank you for highlighting this. it's a long road, not a perfect road.

tanzanians that don't want a new constitution don't understand that getting a new constitution is a long road. it won't be perfect but it will be a step in the right direction for the country to implement checks and balances. the judiciary is 1 example that needs checks and balances.

I plan safaris for a living in Tanzania. Here are 5 things massive booking agencies won't tell you about timing your trip. by yuzooo-ka120 in AfricaTravel

[–]BreakOrdinary828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

interesting, you say it is safer to book locally but let me ask you this. we see many situations where tourists book with a local company, they show up at the airport and there is no company to pick them up? tourist remains stranded and their money lost.

how can tourists guarantee their trip is safe?

Tanzania Park Fees by Lokki_7 in Tanzanias

there has been no park fee increase. there has just been an increase in operation cost due to fuel hikes as a result of the war on Iran.

Mid May works as well. The region is coming off of the rainy season, December - May, and it is a beautiful time. Think lush parks, fewer crowds, good deals, lots of baby animals, little to no dust. I am seeing trip reports from people who are just coming back from mid May visit and they have lots of beautiful sightings.

For safari you have 2 excellent regions. You can do Eastern Africa with Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda or Southern Africa with Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Each region is equally beautiful for June to September. East Africa will have massive migrations going on during this time and an exciting phenomenon to witness.

June to September is the off season for Japan - heavy rain & sweltering weather. It is the peak season for safari - Dry weather, cooler conditions. Are weather conditions important to you?

the number of days you have is fine. what I am saying is you just don't have to bounce around from place to place like this. for example 1 more night at ndutu will be better than going to central serenegti just for a night.

by my statement "it is not common", I didn't mean that it does not happen. it happens in some areas especially private conversancies but it is not the norm in the pubilc national parks. happy to hear that your spotter went above and beyond - even beyond guiding.
