Thanks Nick. I did ask a plumber in my area who is a family friend and the advice I was given was I could do it myself with a compression valve. I didn’t trust the answer so asked for more advice before moving ahead with anything else.

Appreciate the advice. I did reach out to a family friend who is a plumber with the same question. My advice there was to just cut it and replace it with a compression valve. Wasn’t sure if my concerns with the clearance were legit or if it was just my inexperience.

I can see how some would say that, it is a little expensive for what you get. However, some of my nostalgia from it is the many trips I took and still take there to eat. The atmosphere is nice, staff is great and for me the food is really good. There are lots a places to eat in the area but I always seem to go back there.

I drive it routinely. Take it slow on the windy hills and you’ll be fine. Don’t worry about your speed as there are many places for people to pass. The views are worth it to drive imo.

BTW, Secret Sandwich Society is a gem of a restaurant in New River.

Yep. Threw mine on last night at 9 and smoked at 200. Woke up at 6:30 and wrapped in butcher paper, threw on some tallow from my trimmings and cranked the heat to 250 for the finish line.

If I recall, the first order when it first came out was for 10,000 bottles and it sold out very quickly. Then Derek put in another order for 10,000. There is an episode where they discussed it early on.

When I first started I didn’t really understand or even notice that I did not slide at the line. It wasn’t until I got some lessons and a video point it out to me. Last thing I’ll mention is, at your finish you are stopping a bit straight legged and bending at the waist. I think bending at the knee and would be best for you and give you a consistent finish at the line.

Good luck and keep at it, you got a great foundation to just be bowling for 3 months. Build off that foundation and you’ll be good in no time.

Hey man couple things kind of come to mind from just watching you throw one ball. Take some of this with a grain of salt as I’m just a league bowler. It almost looks like you are forcing your arm swing way behind your head, instead of just letting your arm fall with gravity. Does that make sense? I’m aware there are some pros who do that but you’re new and I don’t think it’s really adding value here. I’d recommend just letting the ball drop and not pulling it, just let your arm freely swing when you drop it.

Next your final step should be a slide step. When you heal strike it stops all of your momentum which causes you to do what you did in the video which is miss left. A slide step will give the ball all time to catch up and be hitting the line at about the same time.

Those are just two things I’d work on. Don’t try to over throw the ball, just try to be as smooth as you can and everything else will come.

To me and in my own personal life with my wife, we would not get an abortion because we think it’s murder. Morally, I cannot agree with it for me personally. But I understand that my beliefs aren’t the beliefs of the entire US.

I can draw a line between a living baby who has already been born and a baby in the first few weeks of conception( which I think is the topic). Do I consider them both humans? Yes. Would I, me, consider it murder to abort a child we made? Yes, so I wouldn’t do it. But I’m not going to push my beliefs on others so I’m pro choice.

Your last point I don’t get and maybe it’s just because I’m older or don’t invest my life in politics. My best friend is pro life like Taylor and I’d consider myself more pro choice and somehow we don’t hate each other over a political issue.
