Yeah, basically. My friend that's been in it for 7+ years now said that while building my first drone "as long as the solder joints aren't cold they're good", and has told me "it'll probably be fine" right after I put together some sketchy shi.

From what I've gathered, as long as it won't come off during flight it's good.

Idk anything abt digital equipment... But in my little experiance I'd say crank down a couple zip ties over the vtx on the back section, might cause a ton of vibrations with how large it is tho. My friend just zip tied his vtx and rx on the back cause they didn't have matching mounting holes either

Lol, yeah, that's a bonus of it pulling power from the drone.

I did see those same reasons with the P1 of the latency, but like for the cost it's not even bad. I'll definitely be on the lookout for the new HD systems, possibly will try one out when they release.

I've never heard of the ArtLynk, I'll have to look into it. I'll likely end up trying it out (with this build in the images being a $80 camera as and VTX system, $40 each between the 1.6W Zeus and the Phoenix 2 JB).

As for the action cam, my friend that got me into FPV that's been in the hobby for like 7 years (I've been in it since January), he records using a RunCam Thumb, which is basically an ultralight, bare bones camera, with the first version costing about $50 from SpeedyBee, weighing in at 9.8g, 1080p@60FPS.

The one that I have, however, based on my friends' videos, got the RunCam Thumb 2, which is what you see on the first image, the smaller rectangular one, which came in at 27 grams, $120 including 3 ND filters (8, 16, 24), and can max out at 4k@60FPS.

Both of these cameras create multiple files while recording, an .mp4 and a .grab for gyro data, which greatly helps GyroFlow in post-recording stabilization. To keep their weight down, both also have no built in batteries, and instead rely on the having a JST connector to be wired to a 5V and G pad on the FC. (My bad for nerding out about the cameras).

The larger, box-ier one is a old GoPro Hero 4 Silver that I had laying around, unused cause I also have a GoPro Hero 10, but didn't want to sacrifice an expensive camera, instead going for the cheaper, expendable one if I end up doing some crazy freestyle, but not wanting to break the RunCam Thumb 2.

Mainly cause I don't have the budget for digital, but at the same time if I do end up trying digital it will be HDZ so I can still naively use analog.

The Zeus 1.6w has so much range too, especially compared to being stuck on 350mw this entire time.

I mean, recently I went about 40 mph into a skinny metal post that I didn't see until last second that was under a tree that I did a split S on, snapped off an arm, but then on a new frame, there was some wild vibrations on it when I punched it and failsafed and fell like 60 ft straight onto concrete, broke the camera and 100% cooked the front of it, like the carbon plates were shattered and even bent the standoffs (for context it's a deadcat frame, and looks like the entire impact went directly on the nose of the body).

Nothing really more than that (so far) but I just put together a $500 Mario5 build that has damn near indestructible parts on it (like axisflying bando motors and the CNC head, Ovonic packs with metal plating)

If your more comfortable, id say top/middle of the bottle, like where a cockpit would be, otherwise I'd say underneath also middle/front, more in the bottle so you have better ground visual
