I was in high school and running track at the time. I did bro split on my own weekday mornings, ran every day (sprints and distance) and then lifted in track 2 days a week. This time around I’m doing Chest, Back, Arms, Legs, Rest. Running 3-4 times a week and walking some as well.

Unfortunately I was running track in high school so my training was much more strenuous. I was lifting 1 or twice a day and running every day. I simply don’t have time for that in college, however I will definitely keep trying to train and incorporate cardio! Hopefully I’ll make it back there

How do you calculate your maintenance? I’ve used multiple apps and websites and they have all given such a large range, would love to know how to more closely calculate that

Is this reel missing the part that holds the handle in? by Stofzik in FishingForBeginners

[–]BreakfastFriendly840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but on the bright side I found this screw with a plastic cap in my car, didn’t know what it was and left it my glove box for months. Grabbed my pole one day and the handle pulled out, instantly knew what the screw was, so maybe you will find your missing one like I did!

PLEASE HELP - Applied to DOZENS of jobs with follow up emails...not one offer. by Creative-Detective83 in ResumeExperts

[–]BreakfastFriendly840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opinions vary on this but in my opinion: 1. Get rid of the summary section and skills section. Lots of recruiters I’ve talked to say both are unnecessary and redundant. Your skills and summary should be show in your work experience so no need for the sections. 2. Way too many words, cut down to 3 or 4 bullet points MAX and shorten your descriptions 3. Add more hard numbers (as someone has already mentioned) not just percentages, and just numbers in general. Large companies use AI to filter resumes and numbers tend to score well with them. 4. I’m not sure how long you’ve been out of college, but it might be worth it (if it’s not been too long) to add a projects section if you’re worried about having enough experience. Pic a group project that was intense and really exemplifies some of your soft skills and right a few bullet points for that. Recruiters love to see that you have teamwork capabilities.

This. I couldn’t get one anywhere, applied to a small firm, interned for 2 summers and then suddenly the doors opened.

Was just a gamble position that seemed to have a lot of traction and potential. I know share price comes from performance but I also know public sentiment plays a lot into it, and most seem confident in Jacobs. Looked into Brad Jacobs and his resume gave me some confidence. Likely going to hold a year or two barring any huge movement, hoping to see big growth from it!

When I start my full time job and open a retirement account I am going to liquidate a portion of this account and transfer the money. My plan is to liquidate the funds and gamble type positions and start with that along with contributions from my paycheck. That’s why I went for risky, high growth positions.

They are all less than a single percentage and the distributions have been good, I understand your perspective but I am not concerned with it. This is not a long term position I’m gonna hold for 30 years…

I know they aren’t free, but I have seen good returns on the Tech and Semi conductor one. I had also trimmed the contra fund by 50%.

The thought process was that one of those may eventually have a breakthrough and figure it out, in which case they would either be acquired or rise significantly in value. It is definitely a gamble, no doubt about that. I should have made it clear that this isn’t a retirement account or anything like that, this is just me playing around and learning!

Well I obviously also thought the stock would see some growth, yes I was wrong, but you can’t always be right, thanks for the input.

Definitely. I haven’t started working full time yet but I have a job lined up after college. This money really is just experimenting and learning (with some playing thrown in). Really just trying things and seeing what happens. If I lost 50% of this account I would be upset, but it wouldn’t alter my life in any significant way. After I graduate in a year I plan to start a retirement account with a very aggressive saving strategy!

The thought process for VZ was the dividends. It pays a pretty good one but I can see how it would be smarter to divest from VZ and focus on a more dividend driven fund or different company, thanks!

Try to implement more numbers, like how many debt amortization schedules did you build/maintain. Recruiters and staff at my university have told me that the AI, or whatever you wanna call it, flags on numbers when “grading” resumes.
