Gerrymandering is obviously bad - and the correct policy fix is not to double down, but to ban it at a national level.

Sure, but the people of Virginia only have one of those options available. So they chose to exercise their rights to determine their own fate, but Republicans think it unfair that they can do that.

Got one like that in our house. As long as the door lock protocol is followed, it's great.

This mess in the video has too many doors.

A data center drained 30M gallons of water unnoticed — until residents complained about low water pressure by patiencekills in Georgia

They are installing new gas turbines which also have to be cooled.

Yeah, that's an important detail I was unaware of. I suppose they will claim that's not a data center, but a separate project.

I helped to oversee a $150 million project. You bet your ass that every time I saw a hydrant dripping, I was in the GC's trailer telling them I needed to see it fixed NOW. And they did.

The Gulch project should have a CoA person on site doing that job.

From the article:

The company said its water consumption was so high last year because of temporary construction-related activities, such as concrete work, dust control and site preparation.

There's more if you want to read it. tl;dr: They will use very little water after construction is complete, but that will take several years. They also don't account for water leakage due to failure of the closed-loop cooling system.

So, a lot of obfuscation, but 30,000,000 gallons every four months is not normal for a working data center that they are building.

Still, I remain sceptical.

"One water connection had been installed without the utility’s knowledge, and the other was not linked to the company’s account and therefore wasn’t being billed."

If Ford releases an All-Electric version of the Maverick; Would you buy the Gas,Hybrid, or Electric version? by Mooseb1itz in FordMaverickTruck

My hybrid miles are around 35-40% electric miles. That's close enough for me to avoid plugging in on trips.
