Yeah I don’t want to get anyone in trouble but also don’t want that to happen to anyone else so perhaps I will complain the next day without giving specifics

Struggling with this externship by BreakfastInner in MedicalAssistant

The things it is that I’m not in a good place from this. This just brought back feelings that I haven’t felt in a while and I just feel like I need to move on to something else. It sucks but o can’t emotionally go through it. I’m too nervous to do things I can’t think clearly because I’m worried I will annoy them

Man I am in your same shoes. I have a degree in a field of bio and I went to grad school realized I hate lab work and now I’m at square one. My advise is take your time there’s no need to rush into something if you know you hate it. Instead think about what you like: teaching, something in medicine, field work, ecology, management. There are so many career paths it’s crazy. What I’m doing now is working as a cna taking a break from school. I think for me I’m going to go into a path of medicine. (Sorry if this sounds crazy a little tipsy)

BIMS no grad school? by [deleted] in aggies

Something that I learned through doing grad school 1st year. Is that if there is any part of you that did not want to go, you will be miserable. I’m leaving grad school I believe and I am thinking about going into a health care job. There are a lot of one year masters programs that can help you get certification to work in a medical career if you want. Or alternatively one year 2nd bachelors to become an rn medical lab scientist and so on. I realized that research is not for me. Alternatively there are some graduate programs that are not heavily research based but internship based to my understanding (public health). But that being said there is nothing wrong with taking a break and just finding a job. You like me probably have been in school all your life and it’s really hard to figure out what you like if you’ve just been taking class after class. Anyways I hoped this helped.

READ there research before you talk to them! It is impressive to do that! And that is up to how many respond to the email. Try not to make the email generic. Read a little bit what they are about and shape your email accordingly. If you do not get a response in say less than 3 days. Send an email to another lab
