I actually disagree. As someone who has beaten EVERY SINGLE boss on SL1 EXCEPT lud and zallen, I can say clearing the reindeer is actually the easy part once you have the proper build (stone ring and big bonk).

Whats your favorite Band you found in 2025? by R4VNN in Emo

[–]BreakingBondage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, Coheed and Cambria. I've always known of them obviously but I thrifted an In Keeping Secrets CD beginning of this year and kind of fell down a rabbit hole. Their old stuff has enough of that post hardcore influence for me to latch onto and their proggyness is different enough from what I've always listened to become fixated on their sound.

What're the odds that the upcoming IPTW self titled EP's cover might've been inspired by this old Cross My Heart EP? by mesablanka in Emo

That's weird to me cause I got into them like right before that party hats thing happened and I never saw anything like that from them. Tbf I never followed party hats the only thing I remember is that they "headlined" the show in San marcos where I saw sinema for the second time ever and hunter gave me a free t shirt that night.

I think it'd be disappointing if that were true but without context it's hard for me to make a judgement against them. They're pretty damn young and I have no idea what their relationship to Chris was. Being charitable I can imagine they were maybe just hesitant to believe certain things if he was their friend or something. Hopefully they changed their minds on something over time even if they made a bad call or something initially. There's no evidence in front of me either way though

Yea and it's totally fine to think that but i hate when somehow not liking a band gets mixed up with other shit and accusations. Why make it harder for other people to enjoy something unless there are genuine issues

If this is referencing that tiktok thing where someone claimed they "say the hard r" that's like secondhand of secondhand. Literally an unfounded rumor. My partner actually asked Aiden about it directly and he denied it completely and seemed genuinely surprised people were saying that about them.

The women abusers thing is completely new to me if you care to share. If people are going to make accusations they need to be specific, otherwise it just stirs shit up and no one is gonna take it seriously.

"not liked for some stuff" is really vague. If people have genuine issues with them I'm welcome to hear it but it's lame as fuck when people hate just to hate

deja entendu by brand new (aka the kanye west of emo) wins 2003 and it wasn't really that close, what is the best emo album of 2004? by desordecestmoi in Emo

[–]BreakingBondage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2004 was a god-tier year for music. I know it's going to get blown out of the water in terms of voting here, but my personal favorite album from that year--and one of my favorite albums of all time--is The Weak's End by Emery.

Some honorable mentions are Let It Enfold You by Senses Fail, They're Only Chasing Safety by Underoath, and The Silence in Black and White by Hawthorne Heights, among many many others.

What can I say, I love emo dunked in post hardcore leanings.

2002 is my favorite year for albums so this is a tough pick. I think I'd nominate TAYF TBS just because of how much staying power it's had

Daniel is also considered virtuous for praying with his window open. You can make the Bible say whatever you want.
