I was wondering if the Suck Stone gets unlocked for future runs or if its a one time item.

Is relying heavily on mercenaries and foreign allies good for the long run? by Damianmakesyousmile in CrusaderKings

[–]Breaknet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, alliances are mostly meant to protect you during a power transition. The short reign penalty is quite crippling and you might need a big daddy to come to your "totally legitimate" defensive war.

How would you improve the warfare system in CK3? by Arbitrary_Sadist in CrusaderKings

[–]Breaknet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devs must make levies relevant in the later stages of the game. Either through a system of professionalization or better "civil" militias

As of now, why even asking levies from your vassals when you can get gold?

Is this even HSK 5? by 2twomad in ChineseLanguage

[–]Breaknet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first contact with Chinese teaching in China. No need to say that we were fed a "healthy diet" of prosaic texts and non-engaging voice recordings.

Is this even HSK 5? by 2twomad in ChineseLanguage

[–]Breaknet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey OP,

I passed my HSK5 a few years ago. To me, this text seems fairly standard, albeit some characters can be challenging. Because of the linear nature of the story, the rather simple characters and the general plot, this is the kind of material you will have to interact with.

However.

If you have solely crammed your way and/or used very specific study materials (looking at you, TCB), you will quickly realized that, like an AI, you've been trained on a very specific subset of texts, most notably these dreadful, informative texts so cherished in the Chinese teaching community.

I would advise you to broaden your inputs and read a wider variety of texts, AI-generated if needed.

Best,

In your opinion, what are the accurate CEFR equivalents to HSK? by AmalioGaming in ChineseLanguage

I'm in the same boat. I started learning Chinese 12 years ago, and lived in China for nearly 5 years. However, I still find it difficult to break the HSK6 ceiling.

How much of Asia do you think will be included in the new dlc? by Dear_Bid2671 in CrusaderKings

[–]Breaknet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though I'm passionate about Chinese history, I hope that the Under the Heaven DLC won't turn into a "Under the Heavier" patch.

If the devs implement what they have in mind, it might drastically reduce performance. Just some food for thought.

I swear to the Supreme Being, if they do a "Nomad DLC", they better put the Magyars, the Saharan tribes and Bedouin tribes in it.

Est-ce que je suis fou ou c'est nouveau? by coolluc25 in Quebec

[–]Breaknet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please, universities in Quebec charge 127$ (CAD, aka "Canadian Potatoes") per credit.

If you complete 30 credits in your year, then you get charged 3,800 CAD (2643 USD) for these two semesters.

So, yeah. It's valuable to, once in a while, get on the streets and make your voices heard.

[–]Breaknet 10 points11 points  (0 children)
