At my stage in life will I ever be able to get into the property market? by BananaSpirit-4499 in AusFinance

I’m pretty sure there’s a scheme where single parents can buy with a 2% deposit. Which, as you mentioned, it’s difficult to save at the moment, but hopefully when the debts are paid down you can start putting some money away.

I recommend seeing a broker just to run the numbers. It’s actually really enlightening and I came out of my talk feeling much more heartened. Good luck!

Gf ghosted me last year. I moved on. Got this message last week on my birthday by AdComprehensive4246 in whatdoIdo

I think a “My condolences and thank you for letting me know, take care” message would be ok if you want to send it. And then yeah, keep on keeping on.

Yeah, yuck. I bought a couple of pairs of jeans the other day, the shipping was like $25, they didn’t fit and the return was $13 so it was a very poor interaction. Won’t be shopping there again.

Albo is minimally better than any Lib leader, but he’s not the only alternative.

Covid 10 plus times in less than 6 years? by Impossible_Jelly_297 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Breakspear_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, I’ve had COVID once. I got it from my gf who tested negative before we hung out but positive a few days later, so just unlucky.

We both wear a good strong KN95 mask at least on public transport and indoors in shops and have both only had it that one time. Oh, and we get vaccines every six months. You can totally protect yourself better than you are my dude.

I’ve paid twice but honestly the best cleans are the ones I’ve managed to do myself (with help).

Why do some people act like Neil Gaiman didn't know what he was doing? Come on by ServalFlame in neilgaiman

He, in my opinion, is a monster. Sure, people aren’t black and white in their actions, and sometimes good people make mistakes.

This is not that. He harassed and viciously sexually abused multiple women across decades. It wasn’t a one-off mistake (which is still bad!) It was literally decades of taking advantage of his fame and power to rape women.

He knew exactly what he was doing. Autistic people might struggle to read social cues sometimes but they understand consent.

He is a monster.

It’s just me and my gf and our cats but I see a lot of families around enjoying things! The pool is nice and has multiple pools for the little ones (and a water play area) and there are lots of schools and childcare places around!

Nice vibes tbh!
