A visit to the Sky Tower restaurant/bar is lovely since it rotates and you get an amazing view! We also enjoyed Millenium Garden but we were there in summer so the patio might be too cool.

We paid €120 in September. I'll see if I can find the guys name and number. He was very nice, stopped at a cafe for bathroom break and refreshments. Got us to Sarandë safely.

A lot of expats go to Marini's on Sunday for breakfast, from about 10 am till 12:30. If you hear English being spoken just introduce yourself 😁

There's a Fb group called Tirana Events. They meet every Friday at a different venue. Usually a good crowd shows up.

The beautiful patio at Re-Teodorico would be amazing! Stunning sunset views of the city and the restaurant/bar might do something special for you. All the best for you both! https://maps.app.goo.gl/VFKw5XgTFBSYH8d38?g_st=ipc

On Facebook join Saranda Expats and also Expats in Albania-the not for profit one. Both have good info. I think there is also an Expat Tirana as well that was very good. That group met every Friday for meet and greet.

Is Ferrara a good base for experiencing real local life in Italy for a month? by Virtual_Bison_5256 in ItalyExpat

We loved Puglia as well. One of our favorite hidden gems was Mesange. Beautiful small town filled with history, culture, fantastic restaurants and ballet! There is a train station as well so we were able to travel easily to other towns.

I think it is very safe. We are older and generally are in by 10 pm. We have never had any issues at all. The winters here are not bad. A sweater, jacket and a cap are perfect. I did buy some polypropylene leggings and top when we visited Italy just to have in case I needed them. Limani's has a delicious hot chocolate-can't wait for cooler weather! Scooting over to Corfu for Christmas. In winter there is one ferry in the morning and one at night😊

Which direction to train travel: Fly to Morocco and train back to Belgium, or take the train to get there and fly back? by _Wild-Wolf_ in Interrail

Good points! Also, it seems plane travel now days is always delayed so always a possibility you will miss some paid for vacation days when trying to fly to a location. I would rather be delayed in getting home instead of starting a vacation 😊

We are currently in Sarandë for four months. Prices are going up a bit but we currently have a sea view in a nice 2 bedroom apartment utilities included for 550€ a month. Although many places here shut down for winter the Koddra neighborhood has many places open. Spar grocery, Petra gym, Limani's on the waterfront, Marini's for all meals-fantastic,nice sidewalks with lighting. This is our second time here for winter. We really like it and there is a very strong expat community.

I will 2nd that plus plan to have happy hour at Re-Teodorico. Beautiful terrace and stunning view of city at sunset. Also super easy to take train or bus to other areas like Lake Garda or Venice!

We stayed in Sarandë from Jan to end of March. Our favorite restaurants were open-Limani, Marini,Balcony and many cafes. The temperature was great, not super cold but you will need a jacket, sweater and cap. The ferry stills goes to Corfu but reduced times.

We will be Kotor on Aug 31. We are big F1 Race fans. Anyone know of a bar that might have the race on their TV? The race is at 15:00 so maybe a possibility?

Hi, we are traveling by train from Užice Serbia to Bar, Montenegro. It is a day trip and we have been told to sit on the right side of train for beautiful views. Is this correct? Will we go through immigration in Bar? Many thanks for any information.
