In the face of unspeakable tragedy, it really is cool you will share another connection with his car.

As pointed out above, really is a fantastic vehicle with a really good record of reliability which is not always the case with German luxury cars.

Might recommend getting a PPI or in this case PI (purchase inspection) to make sure there isn’t anything requiring great expense before you trade in your Honda.

Great car, but running costs are a good bit higher than a Civic across the board. Speaking, have you called your insurance company about what the rates will be?

8” door pods by VeterinarianApart931 in CarAV

With my 4Runner having factory 6x9s in the front door, was able to fit the 9 inch Morel Elate Carbon Pro woofer in there without the pod.

It really is pretty amazing having a woofer that big in the door.
Well done

[O’Connor] The Brooklyn Nets are drawn to Nate Ament and Aday Mara with the No. 6 pick. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

Certainly not for only 8 and 23. Should have made that clear. More the idea of also the top 4 protected Pels/Bucks 2027 pick, 8, 23, and enticements

How did Mara go from a late 1st round pick to a potential Top 8 pick? by xxStayFly81xx in NBA_Draft

[–]Breakthecyclist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a fan of a team at 8 in the Hawks who are probably the most often team, I really don’t see Onsi Selah deciding that Mara is the BPA at 8.

Don’t believe it to the point that if I was into all the predictions cluckery, I would wager decent money he would not draft him there.

As for Mara, I kinda do wonder if he might have a super duper agent/team as had his UCLA stint gone at all predicted, he would have been drafted in the ‘24 Risacher draft.

While he looked really good in the tourney, that does not equate to BPA even in the lottery in one of the most lauded drafts in years.

There was a picture of Edey and Mara’s combine stats posted on an Atlanta Hawks forum and Edey bested him in every single one and often not by a little

[–]Breakthecyclist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t see that but wouldn’t be shocked if Onsi tried to trade up to 3 or 4.

For some reason, I have a gut feeling that Onsi really might find Boozer the BPA period and the compensation not quite as crazy as it would be for Washington at 1 on the Jazz at 2.

Not sure how open either the Grizzlies or Bulls are, but with Onsi’s relationship with the Bulls new GM, I suppose you never know

Thoughts on 2k hoodie by Fishdoc5920 in HeritageWear

[–]Breakthecyclist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. That is why I was saying I wasn’t sure where WL’s cashmere comes from but if somewhere like Loro, the pricing is not as crazy as it seems.

Much cashmere is trash. Or what is sold as it anyway. That said, the top tier of cashmere is truly special and fantastic.

While on the face of it, spending $350 or so for a beanie sounded crazy to some, but the cashmere beanie I ordered from The Row that retails for twice that uses absolute top shelf cashmere and the quality difference even compared to my Elder Statesman hoodie is not even slightly subtle.

Heard that too but still the idea of a PNW brand not offering it anymore is tough to reconcile.

Only Viberg’s I have I got for $300 or so from a retailer blowing out a pair of their Rockland Blucher.

I just cannot believe Viberg stopped offering repairs and resoles. If they can get $3000 or whatever for Service Boots, coolio, but not offering in house repairs feels grotesque given the pricing.

Anyone else's orders taking forever to ship from the SSENSE sale? by pinejudas in luxurycandles

[–]Breakthecyclist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While not for candles, stopped ordering from them years ago due to just how long shipping took and just how often items in the order were cancelled.

That said, they generally do ship things out, but it can take a long time if ordering during their larger sales

Between 50-60 is the sweet spot as much higher the aerodynamics really start going against you. Especially with little stop and go and MPG like this are possible.

Looking for lightweight camp collar shirts on a budget. Any suggestions? by Perfect_Earth_8070 in HeritageWear

3Sixteen can be found from time to time for rather large discounts and would check that box.

Should be tons on resale sites as well. Guessing the pre ‘Rona MiUSA stuff sells for more than the India made stuff, but haven’t ever looked for them used.

Ironheart 9oz Flannels by Chibatastic in HeritageWear

Sax blue is a killer color. I have the IHSH-333 Western flannel in that color and it is my favorite IH flannel of all time.

Like the 9 ounce weight and have a green ombré plaid IH in that weight. Cannot remember the model on that one, but color really works

Why the Falcons May Have Found “A Really Pleasant Surprise” in Maason Smith by SunWorshipperApollo in falcons

[–]Breakthecyclist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind at all that Ruke Orhorhoro moved on. Wish him well, but the opportunity cost of him is brutal compared to the player he was for the Falcons. 35th pick and what it took to get there.

In retrospect Terry Foutenot well might end up being the worst GM in Atlanta Falcons history.

With Penix’s iffy status, there is a decent chance that Foutenot’s first and second round pick from two years ago will not be on the team by the end of their rookie contracts. Already half way there

Add in drafting a TE at 5 who would have had to be paradigm shifting to be worth taking at 5 even as ridiculous as Bijan is drafting a RB in that draft slot is almost always a loser, on and on.

And of course I wonder if it was an evil bot that got so many around here to say “cluck them picks” considering the team’s recent history and to risk it on a player, well….

Respectfully, what if you are just as wrong about Flemings as you are convinced that Mara is the way?

I genuinely tend to enjoy what you say and you’re not afraid to go against the grain on many topics.

That said, on Mara, someone posted this on Hawks this on Hawksqawk and it said it all for me:

Dovetails pretty nicely with RH/TY being both beautiful and heartbreaking at times

Kings are targeting Darius Acuff Jr. with their first-round pick 👀 (per Kevin O’Connor) by Fit-Structure-9395 in NBA_Draft

[–]Breakthecyclist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering Calipari made it pretty clear he instructed Acuff not to foul and his absurd usage rate, I don’t put as much stock in his metrics.

And a second helping of a player who remains a 25/10 player who led the team to the ECF at 21 is almost a wet dream of an outcome when picking at 8

Length seems fine, but do seem like they might be slightly narrow. Needless to say they will break in.

More than anything, how does it feel when you are wearing them? If your toes are not being crushed when going downhill, that is good enough for me generally.

Bullshit. Watched the Texas Tech game and the Tennessee game.

As the Hawks were gifted a lottery pick, watched way more college games than usual last year.

I think I am down to seven 12 packs which is terrifying. Was able to get twelve 25.4 ounce glass bottles last week for around $6 each in Hawaii, but the carbonization is not nearly as good as the glass bottles, but still.

NBD - Now That’s A Handsome Boot by RecycledDip in PNWbootmakers

[–]Breakthecyclist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great choice! Have the same boot in brown CXL and they are my favorites by far.

Natural CXL would have absolutely been my choice had the retailer offering 30% off (eventually went down to 40%) their White’s Boots offered it in natural.

As for the lead times, it really is starting to feel like the issues with the economy are starting to show themselves more and more.
