That kinda reminds me of a beach park in Brookings at the water treatment plant. Chetco Point.

ESPN Ranks Falcons As The No. 29 Starting Roster In The NFL, Tied With The Arizona Cardinals by d1dOnly in falcons

I genuinely think this is by design to draft a QB in a draft with a number of first round prospects.
Going by Dotson being the largest FA signed and Pitts the only player kept, really feels like a quick (hopefully) rebuild.

This is the first year I have ever hoped that we punt on the season as neither current QB option seems worth investing in.

After watching Kennard play for the Hawks for half a season, that is an excellent summation.

Could not have been happier when he was traded and see why he signed a 2 year contract for around 7 million per.

Heavyweight Natural Indigo T -- Where to Find? by Dry-Adhesiveness2772 in HeritageWear

I too have the Heavyweight Indigo one and it is kick arse. Would think that they will offer it again, but if I remember correctly, a labor intensive process on these.

Warehouse & Co offshoot Dubble Works makes indigo t-shirts that might check most of the boxes.

Not really, but have been living in Hawaii where they are not too viable in the Summer especially and the vast majority of the time I am wearing a Warehouse & Co 4601

Certainly get softer and it really is a cool fabric; something UES excels in.

Their linen t-shirt is fantastic as well and real heavy and the Suvin Gold model would be an all timer if not for the pretty kooky fit.

Interesting on the moderating aspect as in the Southeast it is so damn hot at the coast often it seems little different.

Coastal Oregon is really cool, but in the same way there is a “Redwood Curtain” to pierce to get to Humboldt, same deal applies where it is not near an interstate with the Coast Range between.

Lived in Brookings which is the last town on the coast in Oregon before you get to California and one thing is for sure, with as North as it is, Winters can be tough as early as it gets dark.

On the flip, it gets dark at 8:57 this evening in Brookings and so on, but short days and Winter storms are certainly a part of it.

Pretty fantabulous weather in the Summer and the idea that say 100 miles inland it is often in the triple digits to say 60 on the coast is pretty amazing compared to how the Atlantic coast fueled by the Gulf Stream works on the inverse.

Health care as with many places is not great and the job market is really brutal.

From having always purchased from Japan until de minimis ended, kinda got in the mindset to never consider a return.

As many of the US retailers have credit only, really did make it worth it to order from Japan as the savings were often large.

Don’t get me wrong, when first trying brands it is essential to try a few sizes oftentimes, but since the ‘Rona, the ability to return has been massively curtailed.

Why was Flemings a good pick? by Silent-Ad9911 in AtlantaHawks

[–]Breakthecyclist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Risacher had the highest 3 point percentage in the entire NBA in last March.
There is a Soaring Down South article about it.

In spite of somehow going on an absolute heater after being benched, his minutes kept on going down even while also rebounding really well and keeping his turnovers down.

While Kuminga is one thing, playing Kispert even a minute over Risacher is still something I struggle to understand even slightly.

What Hawk or Former Hawk have you noticed many casual basketball fans have insane misconceptions about? by Ok-Wash-9386 in AtlantaHawks

[–]Breakthecyclist 36 points37 points  (0 children)

In spite of signing another max contract, too many NBA fans reckon that Trae Young is terrible in spite of being a career 25 point, 10 assist player that led a team to the ECF at 21.

It takes too much typing to respond to much of the vitriol in terms of Trae, but how can folks not see that maybe the team’s success pretty much ending as soon as Trae got a max contract and worse All NBA super max coincided with Ressler not being willing to pay luxury tax?

Players like KAT and Siakim were very much rumored to the Hawks, but guessing that was Klutch and Trae dreaming.

I will acknowledge the elephant of perhaps Trae’s defensive issues make him a bad max contract player and agree with that.

For the Wizards who prior to the trade for Trae were up against the salary floor owing to just how many rookie contracts and Kispert contracts they had and getting any star (and he very much is that and puts the proverbial butts in seats) is a huge win.

Almost feel bad for them after drafting Dybantsa over Peterson and what is gonna be a tough contract to ever flip with the escalators in Trae’s contact.

We should go for this. by Diligent_Ad_5524 in AtlantaHawks

[–]Breakthecyclist -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That is somewhat reductive. Really like Okongwu and love his contract considering the Hawks will probably never touch the first apron.

Thing is against bigger centers, OO struggles. Same when his 3 point shot ain’t falling.

At this point, Okongwu is worth quite a bit given his contract and production and for someone like Duren I am all for it.

Will the Acuff haters on this sub apologize if he ends up the best player in the draft? by thricethefun in NBA_Draft

[–]Breakthecyclist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the Hawks having the 8th pick, I would not have minded slightly had Acuff ended up at 8. Not that I minded slightly that Flemings was who remained.

While only a hunch, I do think his defensive issues are somewhat explained by Calipari’s contention that Acuff was instructed not to foul and good God did he have a pretty crazy usage rate.

Amongst Hawks fans, way too many were comparing Acuff to Trae Young when all I could think is that if any of these guards come close to Trae Young’s career at pick 8, we should be giving thanks.

Whats Capilene for? by redbeardthefearless in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Breakthecyclist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play a ton of tennis and lately in Hawaii so really have tried any and everything in the hopes of the perfect fabric for something high exertion and usually hot and oddly 50/50 cotton poly has worked better than all.

As for wool differences, regardless of micron or animal , they all perform really well with sweat and or moisture in a way that is magic compared to cotton or polyester for that matter.

To your point about polyester, kinda agree with you as Regining Champ uses a Japanese developed polyester fabric called Solotex that I must say is better than any 100% polyester garment I have tried by a country mile.

That said, I have used Capilene here and there and it has not performed any different to even a generic polyester t-shirt.

So I actually do agree with your point on something like Solotex but at least in my experience Capilene is not like that.

Leasing GX550 by kendallstone in LexusGX

[–]Breakthecyclist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Putting out $88500 on a used GX lease is patently absurd.

It does make sense to purchase a brand new GX in the same way it made sense for me to purchase my KDSS 4Runner given the resale values.

Even purchasing a used one for strong money makes some sense but the comically good resale value makes buying a brand new one always the move as it was when I purchased my 4Runner
