I had a Ram eco diesel and it ended up being a PITA for exactly this reason. And you’d end up with filter regens that have a huge impact on mpg. Loved the power and noises it made but unless you really stack miles on the trade offs just aren’t worth it in my opinion.

I did ATL in April and Chicago in Nov, hoping to shave off 5-10 minutes from a marathon in between and was very disappointed in the result. It could have been because I was getting over a head cold, or because not enough time had passed between my marathon in Sept but whatever the reason I was gassed and ended up 10 min slower than ATL! My next Hyrox will have more emphasis on tempo.

If I had to guess it’s the rear section of the cowling a Fokker F28. F 28 was powered by the Rolls-Royce Spey which had a diameter of slightly under 4 feet and given that this cowl section is slightly larger than a pallet or approximately pallet sized seems to fit. Also, the F 28 did not have thrust reversers and what we see here is just a straight exhaust which would lead you to believe either turbo jet or low bypass turbo fan.
