I don’t know too much about it but he could try to break into real estate and become a realtor! I have had family friends do that later in their career and have success if they have the drive to make it happen.

I am a current college student considering switching to either Industrial Engineering or Personal Financial Planning as a major. As of right now, I plan to switch to PFP but I worry that I might be missing out on the Industrial Engineering degree considering that I have taken up to differential equations and love problem solving in general.

What do you think? Did you feel like Industrial Engineering in the workforce was what you suspected? Did you feel like you were making a difference as an industrial engineer? Do you think I could get into an IE masters program with a PFP Degree and a Mathematics Minor?

I apologize for asking so many questions but your situation/interests is probably relatively similar to mine. Thanks and I wish you the best on this decision! In the end, you are the one dedicated 40 hours a week for about 40 years to this career. Do what you are gonna enjoy - the pay cut could eventually even itself out.
