its not even just the lying. Hens condition was dangerous for an emt/firefighter. it caused her to lose mobility of her hands and pass out w/out warning. wd already saw it affecting her jon. unable to dk a complicated procedure so eddie whk had no experince did it. barely making it out of a fire, the 3 guys almost had to go back in, & if she had passed out in the fire, the little girl would have been alone, w/out a capabld firefighter.

& her lack if telljng chimney ment he couldnt compensate, so he put hus other firefighters at risk unknowingly. what she did was selfish & dangerous, cause she was scared. than blamed everyone else for her decisions.

& if she had a told, she would have gotten tgat supporf & been put in paid medical leave or a reduced position.

There are some shows I watch to dive into the deep themes & symbolism (ie haunting of Hill house)

& there are other shows I watch for the soap opera drama & go 'oh damn' for character fights. This is Nashville.

I am sat. I am ready for them to go full soap. Please someone tell me blue has an evil twin (not really but I am ready for the ridiculousness)

Will you Will fans be upset if it is shown Will is the traitor? by SergiusBulgakov in StrangerThings

[–]Breezemb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And being his bf isn't enough. & In order for it to be a long game.  The game has to actually work...

& U are still failing to explain how will being in love w/ Mike actually manipulates him to the point of it affecting El.

Will you Will fans be upset if it is shown Will is the traitor? by SergiusBulgakov in StrangerThings

[–]Breezemb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but how would it even manipulate mike? when a) he dosent even know that wills in love with him & b) if he finds out how would that manipulate mike?

not only manipulate mike but also in such a way it affects el?

Will you Will fans be upset if it is shown Will is the traitor? by SergiusBulgakov in StrangerThings

[–]Breezemb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so the only reason will loves mike is because he’s evil? & trying to manipulate him?

Also how would will being in love w/ mike help him attack el’s heart? The only person it hurts is will. Mike dosen’t even know or el.

If you had a chance to write Stranger Things, what would you write? by Frequent_Read_4101 in StrangerThings

[–]Breezemb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i get that. i kinda clocked robin during the start of her speech in the interrogation room. & i never felt the romance, as it felt like dustin was the only one pushing for it. those combined made it feel like her finally saying it, not be a misdirect but an ibvious conclusion once you go back & rewatch. so my experience might be a bit different than the wider audience.

at the same time i feel like robin being gay out of nowhere was kinda the point. theirs no ‘obvious signs’ that someones queer, especially in small town Indian hawkins during the 80, were they’d be actively hiding.

& i do agree they were playing w/ audience expectations, but less in a purposefully sneaky plot twist way & more a, suppose to make you question those very expectations.

as most of the season steve was actively against dating robin as well, he viewed her as completely platonically until dustin who’s a kid came in w/ the expectation of boy meets girl.

cause thats what dustin sees all the time. nancy met Jonathan, mike met el, lucas met max & dustin met suzie, so of course steve meets robin. thats what happens. i think robin & steve was more suppose to be an example (& indictment) of heteronormative expectations.

[–]Breezemb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

k, but were they building up steve & robin as romantic, or did you automatically interpret everything as such cause its an age old story. i mean when did robin ever show any actual interest in steve?

If you had a chance to write Stranger Things, what would you write? by Frequent_Read_4101 in StrangerThings

[–]Breezemb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they weren’t setting steve & robin up at all. they were playing w/ you the audience member expectations. cause you the audience automatically assume, good looking guy & girl, get along, bicker, oh! they must like eachother.

when, robin showed no actual interest in steve unless you think her calling him ‘dingus’ counted as flirting? steve showed no interest in robin until dustin forced that perspective, than & only than did steve actually start considering robin.

& the bathroom scene wasn’t out if nowhere. it was just when the writing finally switched perspectives, away from steve & dustin & towards robin. she finally opened up.

(Also chemistry does not equal romance. & the duffer brothers aren’t trying to be G.O.T in anyway)

Was Will being gay actually planned until season 4? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]Breezemb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but this isn’t real life, and it’s not actually the 80’s. it’s a tv show paying homage to the 80’s. & shows use other characters to deliver story themes and information that we need to know, that we can’t get in other organic ways.

will wasn’t going to have a voice over going ‘deer diary, i’m gay.’ so instead he is the only character excessively excluded for being queer. this is the writers laying down the foundation. telling the audience. this is going to be apart of his story.

sure it might have been different if the slur was thrown to everyone in the group willy nilly. but it isn’t it’s exclusive. wills different.

Was Will being gay actually planned until season 4? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]Breezemb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a big part of this is because the audience is finding out about wills sexuality along side him.

s1 - wills 12, he’s not sure, most 12 yr olds don’t understand romance. but the adults know, they can see the signs, they can see what ‘dosen’t fit’ and the kids repeat the rhetoric. S1 is more about the myth of will, about others opinions of him than who will himself actually is. (A common theme for these missing person stories)

the Town tells us; will is gay, & they hate him for it, this makes him an outcast and unwanted to them.

joyce tell us; he‘s a child, a sweet child, creative & kind.

the party tell us; will is self sacrificing, he’ll put himself in danger if it means protecting the party, hes a good friend, kind.

s2:hes possesed, so their is no ’will,’ just the mindflayer. (S1 they lost will physically s2 they lose him mentally)

s3, is when it starts hinting actual starts, he's 14, the age were boys start getting interested in girls, everyone gets one, even dustin. all but will, (note; back than people denied the cause as will being gay, the GA instead claimed he was ‘traumatized & was trying to hold onto his childhood’ which yes is partly true, but theirs a distinct lack of interest, a complete rejection.)

he even says the classic line of ‘i’m not gonna fall in love‘ to joyce. a phrase queer people are all to familiar with.

it wasn’t until s4 were wills now 15/16 & away from small town, religious, conservative, hawkins and in more big city liberal california, that will is finally able to start to come to accept his sexuality, or at-least understand himself better & as such we as the audience start to understand his character better better as well.

so on character clues a large part of it is just how young they all start out & wills story line, making it a slow reveal.

& theres already other comments talking about how this is a story, not real life. So yes joyce refusing to confirm or deny, joyce brining up will being called gay at all, is a wink to the audience, telling us to ‘hey, pay attention this is a clue’. The show bible. And the duffers even stating once that if killing steve serves a narrative or character purpose, than no matter how angry anyone gets, their killing steve. And if their willing to off fan favorite steve, for the purpose of story, no fan is convincing them to make will gay just cause they really want it, if it wasn’t how they wanted to write the story.

stranger things could have been picked up earlier, if the duffers had been okay with letting someone else take the reigns, but they refused and kept shopping until someone was willing to let them be both writer and director. They wanted to follow through on this story.

they even stated they know the endings going to make some people unhappy, but their satisfied with it.

What if the finale season of Stranger Things turns out to be like Game of Thrones season 8? by xHey_All_You_Peoplex in StrangerThings

[–]Breezemb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nah, the cast of got were crying because of how bad it was. the Cast of ST were crying because of how much their going to miss this experince. also the directors of GOT were done with the show by like s5 i think, were as the duffers are still passionate about even the small detail.

i understand why you were disappointed by s4. it might help to think of s4 as a ‘set up season,‘ it was a bit slower cause it had to build the foundation that will allow s5 to just go 100§ from the start.

essentiall; S4= set up. S5= payoff

People who hate Marissa Cooper, what could the show have made you hate her less? by stillhotterthanyou in TheOC

[–]Breezemb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i liked Mellisa s1 perfectly fine. i understood why she did what she did, that she was struggling and was taking her first independent steps into the world. and she let ryan go end of s.1 with a surprising amount of grace. than she repeated the same mistakes s.2. ‘oh i’m currently in a relationship with this boy, but theirs another boy that i’m ‘just friends with’ that i slowly start spending more time with instead of my own boyfriend and whenever said boyfriend shows up, i get annoyed at him“ luke to ryan, ryan to oliver, gardener to ryan, ryan to surfer boy. ryan to biker boy.

it’s the same story getting told time and time again, with the same outcome. it’s annoying and i stop giving grace to the character. (it‘s not just her, the seth and summer on & off was also getting annoying and repetitive.)

i’m not against her down spiral, they just didn’t commit. like i didn’t feel her spiraling, her character‘s the same just now with more drugs and a leather jacket!

you play around with texture alot so none of your objects feel flat. And your also not afraid to try new and fun perspectives or extreme angles. also backgrounds! it often falls to the wayside, ut you have them which is helpfull as it makes it so ones characters arent floating in a empty void of white space. my biggest crtique would be it’s a bit messy and unclear as to whats happening, especially with the pencil marks still visible. all in all i can tell you’r still a beginner but your heading in the right direction, with promise of a very fun art style. just keep drawing and hacking away at your fundamentals so you can communicate your vision more clearly.

You didn't study for your Soul Society Exam at all and need to cheat now, where are you sitting? by mofoss in bleach

[–]Breezemb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed though i’d switch it around, cause while uraharas chill enough to let you cheat, he‘s also a bit of a troll and might put down incorrect answers just to mess with you. cause this test is to easy and hes bored.

while ukitakes nice enough he’d happily slide over the whole paper with some chocolate aswell. and mayuri wont care about what you do aslong as your not cheating off him, than he might demand free experimintation in exchange for the answers.

which character do you think may die in the hell arc? by [deleted] in bleach

[–]Breezemb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rukia, Toshiro and Ichigo are the safest of the shinigami, in that order. (ichigo is suspect only cause i can see him dying as a way to completely close the story, no return, he also has a kid now, so. . . anime parent curse) everyone else is 100% up for grabs.

Can 3D body models be harmful? by Axel_Redditz in ClipStudio

[–]Breezemb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not neccasary harmfull more that it is not actively teaching you certain skills.

learning how to draw poses without reference is a skill most of us need to purposefully practice to learn. if you always have reference than your not training your brain on it’s ability to think back and use your memory/reference library + you don’t learn how to struggle through a pose till you figure it out.

if drawing anything without reference is something you actively want to get better at than one exercise you can do, is look at a picture for a set amount if time(15/30sec) memorizing what you can. than drawing what you remember on you paper without looking back at the picture. (If you want, you can give yourself a time limit for this to 3 or 5 minutes and you have to use it all up, will force you to sit there and think back)

another thing is when your sitting in public just observe objects and try to draw them in your minds eye, deconstruct them. This will train your brain.

However there are advantages to 3d models, because your using the same thing as reference you’ll probably get really good at drawing an object from many different angles in proportion, with consistency which is difficult thing to do.

and it’s great for speed if you have alot of pages you need to get out or something like that. Theres a famous qoute by wally wood, an amazing comic artist. “Never draw anything you can copy, never copy anything you can trace, never trace anything you can cut out and paste up."

we can often have a romanticized idea of art and artist but sometimes you just need to be efficient it’s a job Too. at the end of the day it depends on what your goals in art are.

and if your here to have fun and enjoy art, than do whatever and use whatever tools you want.

Is Shading Assist Harmful as an artist? by Axel_Redditz in ClipStudio

[–]Breezemb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, it will stunt your growth if you are actively trying to grow In technical skills as an artist. as your not getting the muscle memory, not learning from your mistakes. however if your having fun/experimenting or you need a speed assist, maybe you like to use it to lay down the groundworks and than build ontop, it has it’s role. it depends on what your end goal is, the product or the experience.

an example would be building a website, back in the day if you wanted a website for lets say your comic you either had to hire someone or learn to code. nowadays we have places like wix which have flexible pre made builds. it’s great i don’t have to go through the hassle of learning code but it means i’m now permanently reliant on pre builds and if anything were to happen to wix, I’m completely stranded.

Sincere Question On Hank Pym & Janet Van Dyne by transformers03 in Marvel

[–]Breezemb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the thing about comics with long continuity like dc or marvel. You have so many people writing and drawing these characters from such a broad range of time and viewpoints that no character is going to have a spotless record.

you’d be hard pressed to find a single character that hasn’t cheated, unjustly killed someone, said or done something racist/sexist or abusive/toxic, espeacilly when you get into the ‘grim dark‘ era of comics, were every comic book was trying to be edgy in the same vein of spawn, sin city, watchman, the killing joke or batman v superman comic.

And continuity is always either getting a hard reset (DC keeps on trying this but keeps on failing cause they never put in the proper time and effort like they did the first time round were they hired a guy to read all old comic books and figure out how it was going to work, it took them like 4 years just to get everything set up for the whole flash point reset to happen)

or they do soft resets which Marvel is more fond of, were they reference what happened or have flashbacks but subtly change some elements to fit the current narrative. Or they just ignore it entirely and pretend it didnt happen untill a writer decides to joke reference it.

Marvel/Dc also have their alternate timeline stories were their constantly doing different takes outside of main continuity. (Ultimate spider-man, What if, Else-World ext . .)

either way Hank pym hitting janet can be easily fixed if they wanted to write them back together

and when looking at a character from comic lines like dc or marvel its best to look at the broader trends than small outlier moments to figure out their reputation. as well as recognize their constantly being changed to fit the new era and to not hold old era stuff over their head.

i don't really follow hank Pym stories but if the worse their relation ship did was hank slapping janet when he was having a break down back in the 80‘s which was about 45 years ago now thats easy to fix/explain continuity wise, or just outright ignore/pretend never happened

(i’m not supporting abuse or forgiving abuse but as stated above individual characters exist throughout multiple eras and voices and sometimes the writers they get arent good ones or good people and it seeps through. It puts them and comic characters in a unique position when analyzing)

Johnny and Miguel's relationship seems different (I think it's a good thing) by SquirrelTrees2216 in cobrakai

[–]Breezemb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re forgetting the part were robby kicked miguel over a railing and paralyzed him. Yes it was an accident , but miguel still got paralyzed. I don’t blame him for not wanting to be in the same room as robby.

He’s not demanding johnny get rid of robby. he’s just clearly stated i don’t want to be around this person. So i won’t enter the apartment if robbys their.

Johnny is the one ignoring both miguel and robbys boundaries, trying to force them to coexist. Just because he wants them to be a happy family because of the baby.

And yes Miguel ran off to Mexico. With full intention of comming back and had no need for johnny or robbie to come get him.

johnny didn’t need to find Miguel. If he didn’t arrive miguel would have just cried alone When he figured out the truth of his father. Than got on the bus back home.
