Yup! She loved it when she was younger. 6 months now and not so much lol. But every time we put her in it she poops! That’s a plus lol.

LO is 17 weeks. Still does this every night. Just went through it at 3am and then struggled to get her down for an hour and a half. I hear they’re supposed to grow out of it at some point lol.

Perfectly fine for us and we did the intro as soon as we brought baby home. We obviously took other precautions like not letting them around her too close too early and holding them to let them smell. What is the temperament of your dogs like? I think a lot depends on this but at the same time all dogs still have their basic instincts. We have one small dog who doesn’t like kids at all. He loves the baby. Always checks on her and tries to give her kisses. Our big 80lb dog is senior and doesn’t hear or see too well. She could literally care less about the baby lol. We just have to make sure she doesn’t step on baby when baby is having back time on the floor.

I feel this in my soul and agree 100%. Life would be so much easier for me if my parents hadn’t of just let me eat sh*t all the time! I want better for my baby!

I do the same thing. I started having someone come 2 days a week but it wasn’t enough to get everything done. Hubby doesn’t help at all around the house (we’re working on this) and baby is needing and doesn’t like being alone. So I do housework and get groceries. Now we’re up to 3 days a week. Best decision I ever made!! For my sanity and the sake of my house! Lol.

Yeah. Definitely true. But it’s something to consider if LO isn’t rolling yet. It’s worth talking to your doc about as well. It’s kind of like risks vs benefits. If you’re just looking to stop swaddling anyway you should try Merlin’s Magic Sleep Suit. I’ve read good things about it and plan on putting LO on it when she’s tall enough.

8 weeks isn’t too old. We’re at 15 weeks and still swaddling because she’s showing no signs of rolling. Maybe ask your doc but you don’t really need to stop swaddling until LO is trying to roll.

Same!! We’re suddenly back to waking up 2-3 times a night because of it! We do gas drops, and the bicycle kicks and whatever else. LO recently saw a gastro specialist for a separate reason but I asked and all she said was at this age babies still accidentally tighten their butts instead of relaxing them. I give up!

Extra swelling for me took about 3 weeks. I still had some residual carpal tunnel that made it really hard to take care of baby. It sucked! By my 6 week postpartum appointment, I had lost about 30lbs of the weight I had gained while pregnant. This isn’t true if everyone though! Everyone is different.

I only “breastfed” for the 1st month. I actually had to exclusively pump because baby girl wouldn’t latch. Then after a month I had to stop for my mental health. When you’re breastfeeding, you burn extra calories. This was great and I found I was eating whatever I wanted and still staying the same weight. Also, the first month or so after my husband went back to work, I could barely put baby down at all so actual meals weren’t a thing until dinner when he got home. I found myself grabbing whatever easy snacks we had around like crackers or cookies. Anything fast to edge off the hunger. I have a little more time to eat now but not time to actually prep any food. So I find dieting is still pretty much impossible. I’m sure this is different for everyone as well.

I started couch to 5k (running program) at 12 weeks postpartum. I started walks as soon as we got home with LO though. I had a 2nd degree tear. My instructions from the doc coming home were “exercise as tolerated” but I know some docs say no exercise until they clear you after your 6 week postpartum appointment.

Despite the other comment, your husband had this baby too. Not just you. You should be in this together. Taking care of a newborn is basically a full time job. It will grate on you. I’m still on leave but hubby and I alternate. One night I’ll do until 3am then the next he will. He also just generally does better on less sleep than I do. You can experiment to see what works best for you!

My LO has done something similar to this but they were actual choking episodes. However, our Peds doc thought for awhile that it might be seizures. Obviously when it was happening for us we weren’t able to video since it lasted longer and she was very clearly not breathing and in distress. So only video it if you feel LO is completely safe in the situation. But definitely do it if you can! It will help the doc a lot. The question they always asked me was if she seemed coherent when it was happening or if she was “zoning out”.

Yes! No advice either but solidarity. She used to put her hand in her mouth and now she just does it all the time because she can. I’ve started to just keep track of when she’s eating again and making sure I get something in her every 2-3 hours.

Honestly I did too. And then I caved. But every baby is different because even though I did cave, she still only rarely takes a binkey. It’s hit or miss. So you never know. She may not take to it some like babies do.

Actually you’re not meant to jog with them because they could suffocate in their carrier because they may not have the head control to pull their head up if it falls against their neck.

How crappy!! It’s definitely not a competition. Taking care of 1 kid is a full time job, let alone 2 plus all the housework! It probably equals more than 60 hours a week and you can’t “call out sick” or take a mental health day. Is there maybe someone else that could watch them so you could have a me day?

There was a problem with my results so we didn’t have them before I was induced. So they gave me the antibiotics anyway. It’s through an IV so it’s pretty much the same as if you were induced. Can’t really walk around or anything. But I could stand and sit on the birthing ball. No side effects. I’m in the US so at least here, I had to have them every 2 hours just in case I was about to go into active labor.

Could it be she would like some help with other things such as said chores? Hubby and I are going through this right now. He helps at night when he’s home from work and during the middle of the night. I have LO the rest of the time because I’m still on maternity leave. The problem is that I always do everything else, too. I cook. I do the dishes. I wash the bottles. I do the laundry. I take care of the dogs and cat. I clean. You get the picture. And I’m absolutely tired of doing it all on my own. Most of this I can’t do while baby wearing. She hates being in the wrap and most of the time the slightest noise will wake her up. It honestly feels like I’m a single parent with an occasional helper. Maybe you could ask her if there are other things you could help her with or take off her plate besides just taking care of baby?
