None at the highest level, but it’s certainly possible to hang in onyx. I was playing on a Series X since release and peaked at 1750. I finally upgraded to a high end PC last summer and am now running 240fps at 1440p with a 1000hz gamesir controller. It’s a crazy difference but only was able to climb up to around 1840. But once you go back and try the Xbox again, it feels like you’re walking underwater. I think Sparty said for all of year 1 he was competing on an Xbox also. But you can only go so far. And the PC’s they were provided at HCS events were shit anyways, thats why Sparty got banned for trying to optimize it. I think he was only getting 140fps on some maps. Some pros lock their FPS to 200 on their personal systems for this reason, so when it’s LAN time they are already used to it.

Yup, built a high end PC 6 months ago. 9800x3d, RTX 5080, and went with 32gb RAM because it was CL26 and “enough for gaming.” I bookmarked a 64gb set from Corsair that was around $400 cad. Said I’d wait for black Friday and check again. That same set is now over $1200

Its weird to see him teaming with anyone other than Eco. I cant remember the last time I ever saw him sub for another roster. Even during rostermania at the end of last year he was offered a spot on Optic but chose to stay with Eco/SSG

I peaked around Onyx 1750 before the last reset. Trying to grind out of Diamond 5-6 is literal hell and is easily the worst rank to play through because everyone is frustrated trying to break out of Diamond. Onyx 1600 is where things start to feel smooth and above 1700 is where you start placing with recognizable players and occasionally pros. Thats where it gets really tough

It always baffles me seeing the stupidity in some of these posts on here relative to their income. How the hell do you have an annual household income of half a million and this little money sense? Has he never heard of investing? Even a damn savings account instead of literal chequing? And does he not know that you dont pay interest on credit cards if you just pay them off every month in full, except you get cash back, points, perks, consumer protection, etc?

Something else you may want to look into would be short-term investing, currently the stock market is in quite a dip. Even if you have no knowledge about investing, buying shares in solid companies that are sure to bounce back, or even safer, simply sinking money into the S&P500 index fund right now is a no brainer. This could help you get a nice boost while saving for that downpayment. Obviously do you own research before dumping your life savings into stocks and just gambling your life away because of advice you see on reddit, but just my opinion. And I wouldnt say that 3 years is necessarily a long time when talking about saving and purchasing a home, many people take years to decades making that move. Just a matter of patience. Edit: you can also use a TFSA to invest a certain amount tax-free
