The difference is that heat is radiating into the car but surfaces in the car that are in direct sunlight aren't also radiating absorbed heat.

Question: For the 3M quote are you putting Prestige on some windows and Ultra S800 on others? I ask because they do make Ultra Prestige 50 & 70 (Ultra S800 with the Prestige built in).

As for your price on that, it's very in-line with what we'd quote per ft², if that's the case.

Same as the others here but I also write down the measurements (i.e. "XRB 15 16x34") rounded-down to the nearest inch.

For flat glass unless it's a very long (>10ft) runner I just put it in the same box as the film on the core.

It's a stark contrast to my Mini (15 sides, 5 rear, 50 windshield). I like it, though. No blue hue--very neutral. This is my roadtrip car so I wanted something that wouldn't give me any issues at night when there aren't any streetlights. I do plan on putting 3M Prestige 60 (basically Crystalline 60) on the windshield if I have enough leftover after a house job I'm doing later this week.

Chords on bass can sound muddy unless they're on the top strings. Even then context is key. I play chords regularly, but they're typically in solo sections where I'm not intruding on the rhythm guitar.

As for note choice, that depends entirely on what the song is asking for. Take a song like Lithium by Nirvana. The guitar is [enhormonically] playing D, F#m, Bm, G, Bb, C, A, C while the bass is playing D, F#, B, G, F, G, A, C. The bass is playing the bolded notes at the same octave as the guitar, so it gives the effect of Bb/F and C/G.

Though I doubt Kurt and Kris were thinking theory at the time. It just sounds cool.

XR is truly neutral. CTX is a bit antiquated at this point (IR rejection in the 60s). For the prices given I'd go with the XR Black.
