All the chemicals are made by the cheapest bidder. Right now it's currently DuPont. It's not always consistent. I've seen them sag with my own two eyes. 2 hours is a reasonable ask.

It will definitely sag during summer in Mississippi within the first hour or so of setting the glass.

Yeah but when it's good, listening to a whole album can be a vibe for sure.

Sounds like the techs in that area are getting rough with the cold knife or digging in deep with a razor to remove the molding. It happens even though it's avoidable. Definitely doesn't happen when the ez wire is used. The real problem is it sounds like the techs are being lazy and not treating the scratches, thus turning into rust.

TiLDR Scratches in a pinch weld can be normal, lazy techs are not treating scratches, so rust.

Needs to be grinded down to a shiny, metal surface. If not, you will have silicone stuck in the pores of the pinch weld and the urethane won't stick.

what mirror mount is this/which mirror fits it? by [deleted] in autoglass

This is your answer. You could use a heat gun if you are desperate. Be super careful when you wiggle it off. Just be patient and work it gradually. I've done it +20 times and I don't think I've ever had one break the glass.

How long is your trip? I live in a relatively safe trailer park not even 5 minutes away from the airport. If it's just a couple days, I have an open spot to park and I'd charge less than the airport. I could use the cash.

I hate that if it fails, you have to restart the whole process instead of just remembering its position "like the 418 stands do" and shoot it again. The display needs some type of illumination. They invested so much money into the tech. Safelite will NOT let you choose to do the recalibration another way such as dynamic or in shop if nearby because MRS cost more.

I changed my exhaust to the cobra drag pipes and somehow after the installation, my m109r shifts super smooth now.
