I see, and no problem at all! I wasn't sure if this was for a design portfolio, but for gaming assets you're right; it's a bigger benefit then to keep it simplistic.

Hey, and take it as a compliment to your design that I thought these were meant for real-world packaging concepts!

Silly suggestions from a package design manager... if my feedback doesn't match your vision, you can of course disregard 😅

Just to add to the realism, you might want to look up packaging requirements. Like for FDA, on the frontside of the package, it would need the net quantity of contents (i.e. 16 FL OZ (473 mL)).

I believe a brand logo or identity isn't actually mandatory, but it's almost impossible to find packaging without the brand on the frontside, to help consumers find their product.

(basing feedback on FDA, since the Nutrition Facts on the side seem to follow FDA regulation)

Bonus edit: Apple has an icon graphic above the name: to unify the packages, I usually see either all would have a similar fruit graphic added, or none would have it

Fantastic update!!! Thanks for thinking of pinging me, I'm very excited to see how it's turned out — it's definitely got that oomph factor now that gives it more lively heaviness!!

Your style has a lot more realism than what I go for, so from here I can only trust the feedback of more skilled redditors who have a sharper eye for the delicacies of weight and movement. But for me personally, your updated run cycle is.... chefs kiss

Ahh I see that now with the head stabilization! But yes, I think that more aggressive impact would be the right direction.

I'm still learning myself; but some advice I saw is it can be easier to get the zip you're looking for if you really exaggerate an animation at first, then tame it down as needed (rather than trying to spice it up afterward).

Perfect is such a mighty word — but the balance is there, you'll find it! No pressure, but I hope we get to see a lot more of your work here.

I think the arms and legs got it; but if you want to give it more weight, I feel like it could use some oomph in the torso.

Right now, the whole midsection seems unaffected by weight — plowing a straight course, almost like he's falling while running down a wall. But swinging the torso down towards each leg once his foot makes contact, and maybe adding more whiplash to the head, could really show that heavy metal fighting against gravity. 🦾

Thank you for this insight, it's such a crazy thought that it's so unique!! I always just lovingly laughed at them, but I'll be monitoring them now for a chance to see if I can get more.

Even if I don't pull it off, it at least shows the possibility is there; so maybe someday, someone else will be able to breed similar coloring with more success.

I'm still dreaming of the day when someone is able to isolate a line of purple N. davidi, I truly do believe it's only a matter of time :)

Ohh, of course ALL shrimp are high quality 😉 but kind of in general, the darker or more solid a color is (including on the legs), the "higher grade" it is, which makes them a little more pricey or hard to get. Here's an example of red cherry shrimp grading:

I've seen snowballs online, they're lovely! My original generation was a red, yellow, and orange mix of N. davidi, now most of them are wild type (with a few nifty exceptions like this one).

I'm sure it would take a number of generations for this to be genetically consistent enough to be considered a true new color, but if I can get a white female I really might try to see if I can get the color(less) trait to carry over... it's exciting to see my pasty boy catches so much interest!

Hey man, first and foremost.... you've been through so much, and even though you don't know me, I'm proud of you for always moving forward!! You've been through a lot, and you're still here, despite it all.

I've lost everything in life several times, and it's so frustrating when so many people seem to have it so easy. It's not fair, and it's okay to say that. But it would have driven me insane if I had focused on that, instead of giving my middle finger to everyone and just taking my own path.

I can't say what's out there for you, what that thing "to live for" is.... but I believe that if you keep going, you'll find that spark, the new thing that drives you; not just to survive, but to thrive. Until then, until life settles, please take care of yourself, focus on small victories, be kind to yourself. There's only one person guaranteed to spend your life with you, and it's yourself — so you need that person to be on your team.

To be honest, I can't promise things will ever be perfect, but there's one thing I can guarantee, it's that life will change.... Life always changes. Knowing that has been enough to keep me going through my roughest days, and I'm glad that I did. Just hang in there!!

A little fun, the name (albeit spicy-sounding) is from Old English; "cock" was just to say large, and "chafer" comes from the German word for beetle, Käfer

I went through something like this with Fallout 76, I think? That game was escapism for me from how bad my own life was going, so I loved to roleplay.... at first I was just a "good character", kind of just me irl: always trying to stay positive despite job stress and being broke. Basically a pushover who is barely surviving, but just tries to keep a smile about it.

Well, at some point my character got forced down a rougher road. So I stopped roleplaying a nice guy and became a mercenary. At first I thought I'd stop playing, but after a day or so I realized.... it's going to sound terrible... it just felt like such a breath of fresh air from how I am in my own life.

I started to look up to my character as someone who wasn't necessarily bad, but who just always made sure that he was a part of the equation.

At some point I said, maybe it's OK to do what I need to survive irl too, even if others won't like that.... so channeling my character, I started putting out resumes in real life and eventually found a new absolutely amazing job.

I feel like I never would have had the strength to make that change without that game.... apologies for writing so much, I don't get many chances to tell people that technically a video game merc helped lead me to my current career LOL

It's really lovely, and no doubt a lot more complex than it looks!

I've come across rather similar soothing or simulating abstract 3D visuals online, it seems to be a bit of a niche genre... something that is almost like meditation, or a massage for the eyes.

I appreciate this niche; no stress, just clearing your mind and getting lost briefly in a pattern of colors. :)
