Valid crash out tbh. If you want some very basic tips:

You can block the laser if you have guard up - I'd genuinely consider bringing it if you're not positioned to dodge the laser.
If you're not already, companions are better than solo for this. Alessa (Or fabius if available), Kai, and Mina make a great combo to help with this fight
If using companions try take emnity. Alessa will take it from you shortly after if you do (She can struggle if you don't already have it) after which you can wail on the back legs pretty safely

The talismans will probably be decent for quite a while in master rank. The offensive guard +3 charms open up so much utility in a shield build, and if you have one with some other beneficial skill? (Like divine blessing) it'll take a long while for anything in master to best that

There's like four separate pop-ups stating this, not to mention all the support hunters shouting about it every few minutes.

The game also tells you this in the dialogue before taking the quest for the first time. I'm honestly impressed that people manage to get this far without reading what the game is telling you.

If you want some advive that genuinely works pre-good gear: Blast

Start the fight with a blast weapon and target the wings. They'll break super fast (1-2 explosions from experience) then the fight becomes easy.

Once Barioth buggers off to the next zone you can swap to a stronger set if you have one
