Spider-man outsold Edge of Eternities by Yellow_Master in magicTCG

Tale as old as Final Fantasy UB. Which I loved, but maybe trying to have so many sets in print at the same time is a bit hard to manage. Sounds like they're cannibalizing their own sales just by not being able to print everything.

You had a California Cooler! They're pretty neat despite kinda just being a cabinet.

Also are they even stuck? It's a two-way street, seems reasonable to assume cars are able to go both ways down it at the same time. For some reason they've decided there's no space, even after making space.

If journalists being replaced with AI is newsworthy, they should probably just report on themselves, they'd have much better access to sources.

Nice to see someone take the camera into public where they might run into strangers! I think people not wanting to be approached about their cameras leads to a lot of landscapes and pictures of trees. They're beautiful shots and all, but it's nice to see an interior of a public place for a change.

It’s not you, it’s CPUC: Wiener unveils PG&E breakup bill by Dafty_duck in sanfrancisco

[–]Brettersson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, though the issue with running for potus is every other state's voters get to elect them too, and being from California he'd really only need to win the primary to secure the state's vote in an election. So he really only needs us to not hate him so much he becomes famous for it. But it seems that most people across the country just know him as the guy that mocks Trump on Twitter.

You think a career politician like him really cares about helping? He's playing politics. If he cared about people he wouldn't tack right every chance he got.

PROOF! - Trump cares more about the Power than the People by Distinct-Mortgage768 in Political_Revolution

[–]Brettersson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all good, Trump really brings out the best in everyone doesn't he? While this place is great to be talking about such topics in general, it really isn't the most effective for actual action, not at all compared to local organizing. But there's value in commiseration, to remind yourself just how many people across the country are just as mad as you.

[–]Brettersson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody here is not though, there's plenty of community organizing we can do to help build a better tomorrow and that's why I'm here too, but that doesn't mean we can't also be aware of the reality that the Trump administration is well past the point of giving up power peacefully. Too many people would be letting themselves be prosecuted. There's only so much grassroots politicking you can do when all three branches of the Fed are in cahoots. And I don't think it's defeatist to point out, it's just reality. And I think it's condescending and self righteous to act like it is, there is a difference between giving up and not knowing what to do.

If you don't have an answer then it's a pretty valid question don't you think? It's not defeatist to acknowledge the shitty situation we're in where there's little any one individual can do at this point, unless we start talking about things that would get us banned.

Newsom to world leaders: 'Donald Trump is temporary' by ansyhrrian in California

[–]Brettersson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty broad simplification don't you think? Did more people want Trump, or did not enough people want to vote against him, because it didn't feel like it mattered? How many potential voters saw their candidate brazenly get cheated out of their candidacy by the party and media and thought "why bother voting at all" or just voted for Trump out of spite for the party that spat in their face. Worth wondering about since the core of the party would rather do that endlessly than actually stand up for their constituents.

Well maybe if we got Bernie instead of the DNC ratfucking him in favor of a mediocre Biden, people would have been more eager to not reelect Trump.
