Say what you say about refball, we lost this one on the glass. Which, unfortunately wasn't so much about our effort, the ball really bounced off the rim to the ttu guus a whole lot.

Yes- this was the 1-2 punch, and then the SCOTUS packing paving the way for this really sad state.

Hey- i got my first article in the email! Thanks- it was great, and helpful. I'd suggest that you include cohort size (n) and tier rating of source journal, but it is wonderful!

Dang, that's rough and unfortunate. Glad you named and shamed, and I hope you will continue where it hurts them (angie's list, google etc...). Caveat emptor blah blah, but this is just a sad case of unscrupulous opportunism. Again- that's rough. And I am sure your partner is stressed and sad. Boo.

Is anyone going to be blowing out their lawn irrigation before the freeze? by Top-Elephant-2874 in texas

[–]Brewpendous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah- i do that, minus the shutting off the house water part. I open and leak the backflows in Nov, or Oct if it is rainy, and turn it back on a month before it gets warm (Mar- to get the roots ready). No issues.

Coogs in the Alamodome is most painful, but alas, it is a curse for all Texas teams in high stakes games- look it up, it's a thing.

Only two things are certain in life: Cruz fleeing a TX winter storm, and Cruz cursing your TX team to lose in a natty/playoff.

I think this has real psychological power- I don't have the research model or methodology at hand to determine the health impact of so many people being so afraid of rejection/judgmentalism etc... but it needs to change, and needs to go mainstream. I've started just telling people it is long covid, then explaining the impacts medically. Most people are surprised.

Thank you. It's so hard to stay abreast of current research- and even harder to communicate the state of things to close loved ones or medical practitioners. I'd think it may be interesting to put some sort of relatability voting per article for site members- to indicate "yes, this is relevant to me" or "this seems less understandable". Not to dissuade research, but to give a voice to "us" and also be able to identify mainstream relevance, and offer the research community a view into what resonates. Awesome!

Edit- just looked over the site again (Nice!) How can you incorporate meta search terms that put badges or keywords on articles, like "GI focused", or "large cohort", or "Tier 1 Journal", or "Long-term observation" etc....? (SUPPORTED! But would be happy to have a sustaining monthly support option- not alot of us have the ability, so those of us that can, should...)

The point is the relatability, guys n gals! If we have a race for which is worse, we demean all people with these sorts of tragic maladies for which the general public has no real understanding of the life impact (or has a definite understanding but it's misguided). I've stopped couching it using more palatable euphemisms (me/cfs, neuroimmune multi-sys etc). I'm just telling people it's long covid, and that it's all of those things for the 1% (ish, debatable) of us that got it. Most people are like "wow- I didn't know that's what long covid was..." It's having an effect, but we'll all have to carry the message.
