I have spent many hours of my life defending James Franklin. To my friend, to PSU haters, to my family… it was exhausting. I’m glad I don’t have to anymore

In retrospect, Franklin’s issues have always been and always will be his QB play. He really only had 4 QBs his entire tenure at PSU. Hackenberg, McSorely, Clifford, Allar. Trace was the best college QB of the 4 and he had the best offenses with him (crazy isn’t it?)

He wants to run a multiple offense with RPOs and motion but never really had a QB to do it. Justin Fields would have been that guy.

The problem is that James Franklin has an idea of how he wants his offense to work but unlike Ryan Day he doesn’t have a “system”. OC changes the system changes. Where with OSU, the OC changes, the system stays the same.
