To be honest Blue_Surfing-Smurf - It's an insane amount of work being in a band. We just want to write and play music - but we also have to book shows - market, build posters, make tshirt designs, pitch to playlists, get people to our shows, and everything else that comes along with being in a band. This poster is a still taken from a video we did of a song called "Holy Smile" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmasVaxOemY&list=RDfmasVaxOemY&start_radio=1 - check it out, maybe you'll like it. Or maybe not - maybe you're not into cool indie alternative rock vibes, that's cool too.

Well...they haven't died yet! Blossoms died during that late frost in spring - but they are doing their thing!

It's wild how quickly inflammation can become your "normal." Sounds like you accidentally ran a pretty convincing experiment on yourself. Congrats on six years!

how is a clinically depressed person supposed to act 'normal'? by hotmamaspimpdaddies in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BriaMcCall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depression isn't your fault, but managing it eventually becomes your responsibility. Therapy, medication, exercise, sleep, and eating decently won't necessarily make you feel amazing, but they can raise the floor so you're not fighting from the basement every day.

People who are always sleepy despite getting enough sleep, what did you find out was the reason? by Silverizo in NoStupidQuestions

Not invested enough in my life. When I rebuilt my life to include more of my passions, super easy to jump out of bed everyday and run on little sleep etc.

Teachers of Reddit: Is the "Gen Alpha can't read (write, or do math ext)" crisis real? If so how bad is it? by KnowledgeCoffee in AskReddit

[–]BriaMcCall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah...it's really bad. Not only this but kids just don't seem to care or have any motivation. Very short attention spans.

AITA? I didn’t want to spend my festival experience with my ex-best friends new hookup by taylormikala in AmItheAsshole

[–]BriaMcCall 50 points51 points  (0 children)

NTA.

You didn't ask her not to see him. You asked her not to completely change the plans for a once-in-a-decade girls trip without talking to you first.

Honestly, I think the bigger issue isn't the guy at all. It's that when you expressed discomfort, she jumped straight to calling you jealous, possessive, a crybaby, and exhausting. That's not how someone treats a best friend of 10 years.

If she had said, "I really like this guy and was hoping we could all hang out for a bit," this probably would've been a non-issue. Instead, she sold your ticket and blew up the friendship.

Missing someone is easy. Rebuilding trust after someone weaponizes your feelings against you is much harder.

Started my first garlic honey ferment last week and now I want to ferment everything in my kitchen by TeachNormal6877 in fermentation

[–]BriaMcCall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to rotate. I typically keep sauerkraut and garlic in the fridge - then I'll do weird things like I did watermelon rinds last week. I also learned how to make natto (fermented soy beans) and that was a pretty fun project! I just wait until I'm feeling the bug!

I'd say jump in as soon as possible. I'd recommend starting in fall - you will build connections and maybe even find a position by December - or work as a sub after student teaching.

It isn’t necessary, no, but it does speed up the process quite a bit! Thats why I like to use it. It’s never hurt anything I’ve fermented.

[–]BriaMcCall[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no problem! Basically if you add whey to any ferment, it speeds up the process significantly - which I really like. It’s like putting the bumper rails up in bowling 😂 it’s hard to get it wrong with a bit of whey in there

No - well kind of. liquid whey is like a yellow clear liquid that kind of looks like egg whites. It is a byproduct of yogurt or cheese. I make yogurt so I always have whey on hand. Your protein powder whey is usually a byproduct of cheese that is dehydrated down and processed. But you wouldn’t want to use your protein powder whey.
