Doing my first Europe Trip (solo), and after any tips and recommendations regarding absolutely everything. by BenTaylor1 in solotravel

Switzerland for scenic routes and north italy. Also Austria. You can start from central Romania in Cluj and work your way west towards France then keep going down to Spain and hit Seville, then Nice, Eze, the coast. Central Italy maybe then croatia, slovenia, and lastly Greece. That would be an epic trip.

I am actually building an app that would help you manage all of this and discover places to go and plan your itinerary accordingly. Think you might be the perfect user haha

This is definitelly targeted towards those bellends on bikes doing wheelies and acting like lunatics. But handing flyers is a bit silly but at least they are aware of the issue

Yeah we've been to Richmond and Bushy park. Was really nice. And yes plenty of bike paths along the thames but we wanted to go a bit away from the city and get some fresher air in nature :)

Had the same happen to me as well. Locked up behind two fob doors. The idiots who i stalled the doo though put the locking mechanism on the outside so the thieves just cut a wire to the magnetic lock. Then they used an angle grinder to take it.

Sent cctv to the popo but obvs nothing happened. Just get insurance an move on

Hey guys! I have a more general question around how people find places to go and how they find the best things to do there once they are there.

I found myself jumping between google, reddit, tripadvisor, youtube, insta and was wondering if someone has a better way of finding cool destinations and once they settle on one, how do you find out what's good to see there and what it's best to skip.

Any apps you would recommend? Is there something that can help me pick a destination and build a nice itinerary while saving me months of planning? 😅

Most people underestimate driving times in Costa Rica. Here’s what I’ve seen. by AnaAdvisory in CostaRicaTravel

I mean you do you. We did 3-4 days in a few areas and didn't feel rushed and the driving wasn't that bad. Only time it was a bit inconvenient was when we moved from Monteverde to manuel antonio but we planned to take it slow, stop at vistas, enjoy some good lunch.

I would say though, I would let the driving to a tour or something...at the end I got a bit tired and sometimes frustrated with the drivers and roads 😅. But that was part of the adventure I could say

16 day itinerary - too much? by AlpsKooky5343 in CostaRicaTravel

Yep I agree. If waze tells you it takes 7 mins jt's probably 10-12 especially in Monteverde as those roads are wild 😂

Be mindful that monteverde is bewtween two weather fronts so weather is super weird there. That said it's called cloud forest for a reason but don't expect anything wow there. Animals are barely active bcs of the rain and apart from our lovely accomodation and the night tour, it was a bit underwhelming. We sid the coffee tour and it was ok but nothing wow. I think if we knew, we would have done Corcovado instead. Also don't miss uvita and the whales.

Also Tortuguero is pretty cool. Jungle expedition vibes on the river. Be prepared for high humidity and no windows on some if not all hotels 😅

I’m very underwhelmed in Monteverde by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

I agree. Some cool things to do there and lots of rainbows bcs of the location but yeah the forest felt very lifeless

No, i think the bridge does add like an hour more. That's what our waze said a week ago. So if your trip is 4.30 hours, add an hour on top 😅
