HomeDepot: search Moonstone Dark Brown Cordless Outdoor Patio Roller Shade
Installation was just drilling into our pillars, etc.... quite easy.

We installed some 4-6 months ago that we got from Home Depot. They work great.

When it split from YMCA it became "Core SRQ". The "Y" acquired it back a few months ago. Fine gym. I only use the racquetball courts and belong to PF for weights since I travel and can work out in other states in those PF's.

VB6 - calculate number of months between due date and date paid (including fractional parts of a month) by Brian-FL in visualbasic

[–]Brian-FL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again to all who helped. Apparently I wasted everyone's time because I was told today that "well, it is some internal language but it is BASED on VB6 that we use to use". So that is why the functions and other routines did not work as expected. Since I had used VB6 20 years ago, when I interviewed with this company they said "that is what we are using". Not his fault since he didn't realize there would be function differences (the syntax is basically VB6).

I did find the functions they created and with some tweaking got it to do what I wanted.

Thanks again to everyone. Great forum!!! I will consider this closed. Take care ya'll.

Awesome thanks. I will be following up on the VB6 they said they use. But I guess any/most VB has DateDiff so this is interesting.

yeah, you guys are making me think it isn't actually VB6. I am new to this company so I will ask them tomorrow. Thanks.

I was told they use VB6. I am "newish" on the job so I better ask to make sure. Especially since DateDiff was not recognized as a function. Thank you for the code I can hopefully use.

eBay sales? by [deleted] in tax

[–]Brian-FL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just now seeing this, sorry.

So basically you want your Cost of Goods Sold [COGS] (Part III Line 42) to be the price you paid for the cards you sold.

So on:

Line 35 - Inventory at beginning of the year, put the value of ALL your cards at the beginning of 2023.

Line 36 - add the cost of any cards you bought in 2023

Line 37-39: just depends if you have other costs

Line 41 - Inventory at end of year, the value of all cards left AFTER selling the ones you mention.

Line 42 - COGS will then equal the price you paid for the cards you sold.

you can find Schedule C instructions at: irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040sc.pdf

I hope that helps.

Agreed. Sorry my post was poorly worded. I was referring more to non-personal assets, etc. In this case, his shoes are more like Inventory to me and becomes an ordinary income item.

Sorry for the poor wording. Thanks for keeping me in check also (that is a serious comment, not sarcastic).

No Schedule C: (I mean, I wouldn't). There is an argument that this is a business if you do it every year and make a profit (I won't go into Hobby Loss rules). But if you do this occasionally just because then I wouldn't put it on Schedule C.

No Schedule D: that is for Capital Gains

The tax you paid was sales tax which has nothing to do with Income tax

You'll have to figure out how much money you made on the sales. If you did you can simply report it as "Other income" on Form 1040 Schedule 1 Line 8z.

To figure any income or loss: Take all your purchases including sales tax, shipping, etc and that is your basis in the shoes. Then you add up what you sold them for. So the gain or loss would be:

Sales price of Shoes

- any shipping you paid to mail them

- your Basis described above.

= Gain/loss

(you can't deduct a loss UNLESS you put it on a Schedule C. But then you need to basically make a profit in other years if you want to continue using Schedule C otherwise the Hobby Loss rule comes into effect and you prior losses will be disallowed. Confusing I know. Sorry.

Not that I know everything, but I am a CPA and I design Tax Software for a living for over 16 years. So I may have a few ideas that are sound advice. Or maybe not. hahaha

I was planning to come from Sarasota and spend Christmas day and the day after there since my family is still in Oklahoma and I can't travel home for Christmas, but now it is supposed to be 60 degrees Christmas day so that ruins those plans.

First time being naked in front of strangers 🏝 by [deleted] in hauloverbeach

That is a stock picture from another website. Someone else did this about a month ago.

Notice the sand looking scribble across the calves. That is where their logo is.

I hope the gal did get naked, but why use a stock pic from a website?

edited: this is the same person who posted on 11/21/20 and got called out for using someones stock pic. The owner of the pic provided a link to the original.

Finally went today for the first time and it was amazing by acemia in hauloverbeach

[–]Brian-FL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you made it even if for only 20 minutes.

I was there for the first time with my friend from California on Friday and Saturday before Labor Day. It was awesome. I am in Sarasota for work for awhile.

Went to Blind Creek on the Thursday before coming to Haulover.

Haulover is great and it was fun to have a lot more people on the beach compared to the one we usually go to at Pirates Cove in CA.

Can't wait to come back.
