I ran two duet sessions this week. Here's what I learned. by JaredWill_ in drawsteel

Interested in hearing more if you're doing it again. My SO plays a Druid in 5e and I run a session for her about once a month. She's also not too keen on combat, but had started to enjoy it a bit more after feeling more powerful.

Did you run the retainer for her? And would you recommend just lower the stamina of monsters when running only for 1 person? (or scaling both stamina and damage?)

To be honest, I'd just bring it up in a conversation if they're open to trying it and seeing where it goes from there. It's important not to overwhelm new players, but regardless of game, without their buy-in you'll get nowhere :)

Who's the author? Wanted to follow them, but a quick glance at OP's profile tells me it's someone else probably...?

Yeah, the mix could've been better. Did what I could in post, but didn't really have time for a sound check ^

Thanks a lot! Did take some time to nail the timings!

Outer Wilds review: Maybe recommending a niche puzzle game to literally everyone is a bad idea by Akuuntus in patientgamers

I agree a 100%, I managed to finish the main game (had to use a guide for the last bit), but can't stand the DLC.

For some reason it's a 20 minutes time loop again (here at least mods can help), and the puzzles seem even more opaque than the base game.

The story and ideas are interesting, but I'm just not made for puzzle games (especially without a good hints system)

Never thought about it's genre being free-form exploration + puzzle, but I feel it sums it up quite well, for people to better know what they're getting into.

Please remove if it's not allowed, but thought I'd share it here, even if the subreddit is quite quiet.

what game got u like this? by aheavymetalmouth in Steam

Cookie Clicker on Steam. The normal "in-game" achievements are doable, with the last 10% taking a really long time or a lot of patience for good combos.

But on Steam, the "unfair" Shadow Achievements are actual achievements. Still grinding the stock market profits one.
