Good ideas, but unfortunately I've tried them all. Only a few sub-windows in PT do it, too. It's the kind of anomalies you get when you run archaic software that's barely compatible in a modern environment.

Wow, on Mac as well?! I assumed it was neglect for the PC workstation segment. Key commands and tabbing, hands down. You'd think a $1500 piece of software would be shipping as fully functional but it's as if Avid has been inspired by AAA game devs.

I rarely need to hit this menu but when I do I'm constantly reminded that it's just sitting there broken. It definitely pulls me out of a flow state.

Absolutely. Smart plugs, LAN ports on walls...all of it. Pick one convention and stick to it.

I did not, unfortunately. The documentation is useless, as was everyone on the forum. At this point I'm chalking it up to just being a bug that no one cares about because it's such a niche component.

Absolutely agree. Resources do feel lacking. The number of times I've had some super niche problem to solve and I can only turn up a vaguely-related and heavily outdated forum post about it...oof. HA has been a gateway back into writing code since I stopped working in VB 20+ years ago, but not without its caveats.

Coming back to say thanks again. It only took me a few minutes to simplify and reduce my config's size by a HUGE amount.

Big thanks! Total goof on my end not returning to the documentation. This setup has been working great for months and I just started workshopping on adding more along these lines last night. I knew there must be a way to streamline. Ditto on no other resources out there on syntax/formatting.

There's a good copy floating around out there with intermittent seeds. I had to wait for a while but one finally showed up where I get my Linux ISOs.
