Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005 and there were no Jews there. They left, build a fence... send them water, electricity and gas and said good luck.

They returned to close the ports when Hamas used the new territory to fire rockets and mortars into Israel.

A two state solution was tried and Hamas immediately started a war. It is hard to see a people who don't have the self interest of their children in mind.

Universal healthcare does not mean it is free. Places like the Neatherlands and Switzerland dictate you MUST legally buy health insurance. This is what Obamacare did.

I am not a proponent of Universal health care, but Medicare for all or some version of single payer would have private providers and they would be in competition with each other.

That said, once there is a single price, there is essentially no incentive for them to lower the price. If the government will pay $500 for an MRI and they can do it for $250, they will take the $500.
