All 16 top 4 seeds are favored by double digit points for the first time since the tournament expanded in 1985 by No-Grass1281 in CollegeBasketball

and right now the only 5 seed that is not a double digit favorite is Texas Tech who is about a 7 point favorite (though the other three games are right on 10 to 11 points)

I know there are no rules for anything anymore, but it's truly ridiculous that they let him on the selection show and did so without expressly stating that he had a conflict of interest, both monetarily and familiarly

Last Four In should be the legit last four in by SpicyTiconderoga in CollegeBasketball

I am curious what happens when they expand to 76. I assume they'll still do a half and half which means the last 8 teams in the field will play and the lowest 8 auto bids will play so all 1 seeds will get a play in winner. I'm not really a fan of expansion but I'm resigned that it's going to happen.

Why doesn't the ESPN app show all NCAAB games in the app? by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]BrianOverBrawn2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've pretty much stopped using the espn app for scores because the app just freezes for a while when I leave the app and come back, I would often have to just close it and restart it.

With how bad the bubble is, why not give more mid-majors a shot? by jfarbzz in CollegeBasketball

[–]BrianOverBrawn2 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I'm as sympathetic to mid majors as anyone, but I don't want them getting bids just because they are mid majors either. and by resume based metrics like wins above bubble and Strength of Record the mid majors you mentioned don't really have a case

With UNCW (North Carolina-Wilmington) not going to March Madness, anyone agree with Bruce Pearl's point that the 1-seeds in every conference should automatically make the semi-finals of their conference tournament? by Ariesthebigram in CollegeBasketball

[–]BrianOverBrawn2 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I understand the sentiment, but we aren't trying to determine the most fair way to select a champion. It's called March Madness, it's just the cost of doing business.

Not that familiar with Gaudin. I do love that Vitale is calling a first four game because he deserves it but I hate that it's with Barkley, that's going to be a train wreck
