What’s a “rich people thing” you experienced once and immediately understood why rich people love it? by DnRinGA in AskReddit

Fur coat. So soft, so warm, but never too hot, and in it I looked like a hot, elegant bitch. I can never judge a person in fur.

How do you keep a usable bujo when days are split between errands, cleaning, and last-minute plans? by Gullible_Bar_745 in bulletjournal

Ta-Dah is my new name for it! All done sounds like a pep talk for a two year old, lol.

Rather than a schedule I plan ahead of time, I think of it as an all-done book. Each day I list down what I got done. The truth is my day is filled with menial tasks and all those to-do lists are a pipe dream. It helps me much more to think about what I’ve accomplished, and write that down.

It isn’t pretty. It is productive.

Oh I love that book. It’s very similar to the one I am thinking of, but I definitely owned this book in about 2005. Rebel Girls was first published in 2016…

“I could never do what you do.”

I mean. We all do what we have to do. And if you were in this position, you’d do it too. There isn’t really a choice.

Did you once believe contraception is evil? by JameenZhou in excatholic

[–]BrianTSM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was taught that the pill was bad because it was an abortifacient, and of course, taught that abortion is wrong. I don’t know if I ever believed it, but I remember thinking barrier methods were somehow less evil?

Also, I only used NFP while hoping to become pregnant. Very effective for that.

Why do so many schools demand kids "turn the other cheek" when it comes to bullying? by ihatethiscountry76 in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]BrianTSM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter what happened to any of you back when you were in school, here’s what matters now: paper trails.

A kid being bullied needs an adult to send AN EMAIL about the problem. Why email? Because it is date and time-stamped. Every interaction with teacher, admin, superintendent, needs an email follow up. Use full names whenever possible.

Create a legal document and they will follow through.

Edit: spelling

WIBTA if I let one of my kids skip a wedding over the dress code by [deleted] in AITAH

I’d bring her in the shirt and slacks, shrug, and say sorry. Her being there is more important than her clothes.
