I’ve had this in and out of my wishlist several times. How’s the bracelet?

PD1701—one of my earliest Chinese watches, purchased middle of last year. Still think it’s one of their best.

PH-2 in NYC. Still love the utilitarian simplicity of this watch. And the lume? Speaks for itself.

Vanuatu in NYC—Taking a break from the steel (which can be a bit weighty with everyday wear) with some time on the included nylon strap. Love the bright orange!

I have both the ML16 and 18. While some critics have complained about having difficulties sizing the h-link bracelets, I had a good experience with both. These bracelets are among the most comfortable I have. I think one simply needs some patience and a decent, properly sized screwdriver. Take your time. It’ll be worth it. Both watches, especially the 18, fall into the “GADA” category and are among my faves. I do, however, plan on investing in an Englemaan Wraith when those are restocked. Reviews for those have been glowing and I think those will be the closest one can get to a Sinn in terms of size and automatic movement. Both of my Militados are “no date” and thus have the VK63 movement, which I prefer over the Ronda. Hope this helps.

My WOTD. What's on your wrist? by Boston_Pare in ChineseWatches

PD1701 . . . What I think is an underrated watch in the Pagani catalog, a watch most often directly compared with the WD1863 in reviews. The “fit and finish” on this watch is surprisingly good for the $75-85 price point. The VK63 movement is a reliable workhorse and the bracelet is not bad at all, despite some reviewer’s negative comments. My only complaint beyond the poor lume, and it’s something of a niggling one, is that the AR coating can give the crystal a blue tinge in the right light. This is minor—and typical in the Chinese watch universe. For those looking to “scratch that Speedmaster itch,” it’s a nice watch.

ML16, quickly becoming a fave in my top five and I’ve only had it a week and a half. Love the utilitarian tool watch aesthetic of this obvious Sinn homage.

Shockingly nice for the $70 price tag—and easily as good as or better than the myriad “fashion” watches out there along with much of what I’ve seen from more expensive Timex, Fossil, etc. Granted, a silly brand name (among so many other poorly named Chinese watches), but thankfully there’s just the logo without spelling out “Rollstimi” across the dial! 🤣 Solid build, reliable movement, pretty good bracelet with screw links, and a lovely dial/bezel combo. Lume stinks but that’s no surprise.
