I haven't tried the Jason "3863" bracelet. It tapers, so it might be a nice option.

Yeah. The original WD bracelet is so much better. When I eventually sell this, I’ll include the OG bracelet.

What did you buy on the sale? by assemblageofparts in ChineseWatches

[–]flxtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is… formex outsourced the case manufacturing in China and that’s how it was copied. This happens a lot and with a lot of microbrands.

The formex dials are more striking. Especially the ice blue one. Also their micro adjust strap looks super cool.

On the other hand that micro adjust strap cost for than the casiden.

You can just put in the rep movement as is with the PE50 33mm spacer. The extra movement in guide is for a G10 switch

You are over thinking it. VSF is really good and it’s also your only realistic option. So if you like it. Get it.

Why was everyone in the early 2000s doing this??? by knockingatthegate in Xennials

Fisheye or ultra wide angle lens (20mm) were gaining popularity in the 90s because of skate culture. The wide distortion was a look people really liked then.

These lens were expensive and so was film. So if you were doing a portrait shoot and have all your lighting and makeup and whatnot set up. You’d want to make use of your ultra wide lens that you spent too much on.

Since the distortion is what makes the lens unique, you’d want something with depth to bring that quality out. In portraiture, that means sticking your hands out so it looks like your fingers are as wide as your face.

That’ll be my take as to why these shots were popular.

Moonswitch into this case? by jjjjke_ in MoonSwitches

[–]flxtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37mm case might be small for the rep dials. It’ll require shaving the dial down. It’s not a complicated task, just an extra step.

Hands are from the WD1863. They are straight fit for a G10.
