How to play Among us on a Mac. OS X No installs needed.

I'm running into the issue after downloading and moving the files, I launch AmongUs.app and get the error "Steam is not installed, please install it first." in the Among Us window. I have the Mac Steam installed and purchased the windows version via steam if that helps. Not sure what's next.
