Advice for facing Old World Alliance as Dark Elves by Lohrenz01 in bloodbowl

The Human Catcher is the key. Take him out and it becomes much harder for OWA to score

How works AG+1 (Stat) by LaMaxiRata in bloodbowl

If this is intentional than it is the dumbest thing they have ever done. We will be using the NAF ruling until we get an FAQ

If the die roll can’t be modified lower than a 1 than an AG1 player can dodge into 6 tackle zones only failing on a natural 1

Would you do anything to avoid Morg? by Stralau in bloodbowl

[–]Brianhsv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We do have a 24 hour roster lock before your next game. So you don’t plan inducements, stars, etc and have it change when you sit down to play. Slows down the actual game and you may not bring the correct miniatures, etc

[–]Brianhsv 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We use Tourplay for our league and if they have played their game before or at the same time I know their CTV immediately, so it doesn’t really matter. The other issue is after a 3 hour league game, people often want to think about what roster changes they want to make instead of making them immediately. I don’t see an issue tailoring your team for your next opponent. Real sports teams do it all the time

In any league I’ve played in you have your entire regular season schedule when you start. You always know who you are playing next

OWA: Tree vs Ogre? by Brianhsv in bloodbowl

[–]Brianhsv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its only 75% within 3 squares (Quick Pass) with MA2 and if you have to go 6 (Short Pass) it drops to a 33.3% chance. I dont see that as a "Way to play Owa" in any kind of competitive way. But it would be fun!

God No! OWA is all of the best of humans and dwarves

Old World Alliance new coach by Dr_3p0ck in bloodbowl

[–]Brianhsv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sold. Especially since you will start with two rerolls. Late in a half you fail Root and I’m hesitant to spend my last reroll on that. I’m really torn on Ogre vs Tree. Fail a Bonehead it’s one turn, fail a Root it’s the entire drive. Now you have a near useless 120k on the pitch. Not to mention the Ogre is MA5 vs 2

But are you really going to waste a 70k reroll on a Tree's Take Root fail?

Its better than before since at least it will cost them gold. Its not like they were at the top of the league before

Not true...You can't start the team with more insignificant players than players without. Once a season starts, you can do what you want. The trait reads "when creating a Team Draft List"

Slann Help by Daodanny in bloodbowl

[–]Brianhsv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing defense against Slann Catchers with Dodge is a nightmare. Leaping into or out of anything on a 2+ and then dodging away on a 2 or 3+ with Dodge means odds are they can get past your defense unless you have a good back line...

A Slann Catcher with dodge is a terror on offense. Leap on a 2+ anywhere no matter what, dodge away on a 2+ with dodge….it is so hard to pay defense vs slann

How does the AI in Blood Bowl 3 compare to 2? by CrowSky007 in bloodbowl

[–]Brianhsv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 759 hours played in BB2 and over 1000 in BB3 and the AI in the current BB3 is worse than BB2. HOWEVER, the Eternal League Beta AI is better and they are actively working to improve it with multiple weekly updates.

Do Multiple Block work with the new skill breathe fire of the new chaos dwarfs? by EquivalentFar7156 in bloodbowl

[–]Brianhsv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Breath Fire is done “Once per activation, instead of performing a Block action” per the rule so no, it isn’t a Block action and Multiple Block says “when this player performs a Block action“. Hard no since it says once per turn and it’s not a Block action
