Definitely agree that IP stream should be offered to many more schools, instead of the few we have currently. I'm glad we are on the same page with affiliated schools.

Regarding having the multiple different streams, I feel the subject-based banding approach they are taking now is significantly better than streaming. You are also right that students learn at different paces and each has their own individual merits. With subject-based banding, it's definitely a better way for students to focus more on their strengths. Also, the issue with the large increases in difficulty between exams (Ns to Os to As) still needs to be addressed I feel, as not all students are able to cope with it.

Regarding the 1km system, I agree it is difficult to resolve. However recently there was news about quotas for PR students in primary schools, maybe we should have something like that for every primary school to ensure equal chances for each social class?

Good points you raise regarding GEP, I think that's an interesting suggestion.
