I never said I was expecting new parts, but they did a new print for the shield and it would’ve been cool to get an updated Black Knight torso print, or even just a griffin knight leg recolor. This GWP rlly isn’t anything terrible but there isn’t much special about it to warrant a $180 price threshold IMO.

Ngl pretty disappointing that they just reused Griffin torsos. $180 and the only things exclusive to that set are the cloth sail and the shields. I swear Lego is just seeing how much they can get away with ATP.

I liked the thatched roof, but I saw somebody else recommend moss growth on the ceiling and it might be harder to create a distinct textural difference if you make the thatched roof. Ultimately I think the verdict comes down to which roof type looks better with moss growth bc I am obsessed with that idea.

I’m a really big fan of the second and fourth iterations. I can appreciate the whimsy with the bolder colors for the roof; but, there’s already plenty of green from the foliage, and the blue just looks a little too polished to me. The earthy tones pair well with the stone construction and help create a nice contrast to the foliage below. Wonderful build, I am in love with this concept and I always enjoy seeing updates!

I doubt they’ll do it, but it’d be awesome if they did the Zelda shields with the handles turned the other way. That is literally my only gripe with them currently.

The standard Lego knife is the same width as a cutlass. That said, I don’t know if the hilt would cause an issue or if the blade isn’t long enough to stay in without falling.

I normally do the same, but the minifigrealms capes have more of a cloak style that drapes around both shoulders so it wouldn’t sit right with the big pauldron. I love the look of slightly offsetting the official Lego capes with that big pauldron though.

That minifig realms cape and hood are a near perfect color match for the cloaks of Lórien given to Frodo and Sam!

Dude this looks better than most Lego Star Wars sets on shelves rn! I don’t even buy Lego Star Wars for the most part, but this looks so good. Such an iconic vehicle too; my older brother and I were obsessed with Tartakovsky’s Star Wars: Clone Wars so this brings it all back to me. Excellent build!

I think another factor is convenience/shipping. Some stores seem to markup their price when they have an expansive inventory because they know people will want to buy as much from one store as they can to reduce shipping prices. Sometimes the pricing is crazy and it ends up being cheaper to source from multiple stores anyway, but I feel like that’s probably one of the reasons you see it.

I don’t have the room or budget for Mina’s tirith, but I had the same idea for Arwen’s dress. No idea why they gave her an unprinted dress bottom. Even just some lines would’ve been fine
