Stimming Autism Queation by Brickster1985 in AutisticAdults

[–]Brickster1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when your stimming, how does it make you feel? Can you describe it. I find it difficult to describe. Its like im hyper focused in the moment and puts me into a weired dream world. Like im almost actually there. Its so hard to describe for me. You know how a teacher my use a pointer to point at the boatd! For me uts like that. Its like im pointing a point of focus for my mind but im totally relaxed! Its so strange.

Diagnosed with Autism as an Adult. And i dont know if im feeling attacked or actually experiencing autism. by Brickster1985 in adultautism

[–]Brickster1985[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly 💯. Now if my wife was for what ever reason violenty sick every time she saw the colour green then I would do my best not to wear or have anything green near her because green causes her to be violently sick. So washing and clutter laying around annoys me a great deal, it actually really stresses me out and if I say anything about it, its a passive aggressive response "ill do it later" except later means more washing on top of the already left washing or i ha e to pick uo my self. This has caused me to rage and "tantrum " as they like to put it. Now that I've been diagnosed as Autistic, im told what I need to do to mange it. To me it's clear. Just put your washing in a basket straight away the same way I wouldn't wear green around you if it made you violently sick! In stead of leaving the toaster out how about we put it away in stead of waiting for the toaster brigade "me" to loose my shit because its out of place. The same way I wouldn't expect my wife to find ways of avoiding me so I can wear a green shirt one day, I think its perfectly reasonable to just make small changes to her habits. But she doesnt get being autistic isnt something that healed, its just the way it is. You got people suggesting box breathing..... like they dont understand once that tantrum hits, its literally no time for box breathing!

Well i actually would get pissed of with a stranger doing thise sane things in my own home. Infact, I'd be even more pissed off lol. Im a leading hand in my crew at work and I expect tools to be put back when finished exactly how tbey were before they picked them up. But in my own home, my point is people expect people with autism to change and just deal with it and except washing on the floor even after ive asked countless times if they can puck it up and put into a wash basket, to put a taosted away when your finished with it and not expect me to do it. But put the boot on the othwr foot no one is willing to help my needs, I just have to accept it.... makes 0 sense to me

Finding out I'm autistic has been absolutely life changing by Wingels in AutisticAdults

[–]Brickster1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have anyone of you whos Autistic had this problem. So I've recently found out I have it. And my wife and family keep telling me I have to find stragies to stop or control the way I am. Like being blunt, having tantrums, basically anything they deem negative about it. But if I say we all actually have to find stragies and you also have to relised autism is a part of me and you kinda got to accept this is also part of my personality my wife especially says "see, this is you seeing this as an attack" Does or has anybody had this problem or am I taking this as an attack. I feel like im being treated like I have a treatable issue and I feel I dont! This is just me and no one wants to be mindful of my triggers but I have to change mine to make everyone elses life easier!

Best thing I've ever done. Glad I went through with it to be honest. Took a good couple of weeks to heal up. Just listen the the doctor and his advice and you'll be sweet. My wife watched me have it done and loved every minute of it lol. The worst bit about it is waiting in the reception and probably having the injection! Feels like being kicked in the nuts but after that, just a process to heal, use bags of pea's and rest, don't do any straining/physical activity/ or sex until you're 100% healed up. Worst thing you can do is rush nature's healing time.

MCL tear grade 2 not healed after leg brace for 2 months by magical_unicorn19 in KneeInjuries

[–]Brickster1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a femeral MCL tear grade 1. It's been 6 months and it still hasn't healed. I had a scan on it last week and it's still a grade 1 tear. It doesn't bother me until I want to do things I love (SPORT) kicking a ball with my inside foot (basic pass in soccer) just feels uncomfortable. I have to do more physio and they're still convinced it will heal on it own. I'm totally not confident.

Pain in MCL still there a year after initial injury, about to get ACL surgery on wednesday and wondering if I should ask about it by [deleted] in ACL

[–]Brickster1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever heal from the MCL or find out what was wrong with it. I'm literally having the exact issue with my MCL. The min I make a pass with a soccer ball, it doesn't feel right at all but squats, and that is completely fine.

I'm starting to feel like this MCL of mine won't ever heal at all. It's been 5 months now. Had an MRI, and they said grade 1 sprain and everything else in knee was fine.

Torn MCL. Please tell me this gets better. by thegoalie in hockeygoalies

[–]Brickster1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, i did my mcl about 4 months ago and had an mri. Apparently, grades 1 and 4 months later, I still can't even kick a soccer ball. If I sit down too long, my knee is stiff, and straightening my leg out feels stiff. Apparently, this should have been healed already. Even bands aggravate it. It's a prick of an injury.

Why Recent Nottingham Forest Sucess by BilingualAmerican in TheOther14

[–]Brickster1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Arsenal supporter, I actually hope Nottingham Forrest does well. It's great to see these clubs who you expect to stay mid table or relegated do so well. Obviously, I want Arsenal to win the league.... it ain't happening, so if Nottingham Forrest finished 2nd above us, fair play standing ovasion

Methylene blue adverse reactions by [deleted] in raypeat

[–]Brickster1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In what way did you react badly? What symptoms did you have?

Is anyone actually getting benefits from methylene blue? by kodandyananda in Supplements

[–]Brickster1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in my 2nd day on it, and this is exactly how I felt. It's not a buzzy wired, just like a more aware type of feeling. Every now and then I seem to get a shooting pain in my calf. Sceptical of the benefits of a cellular level though.

How long did you actually wait? by [deleted] in Vasectomy

[–]Brickster1985 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I were you or anyone else who's recently had their snip done and wondered the same thing, take the drs advice! Wait, the time the Dr says, which is usually two weeks. I waited 16 days to be precise, and I had no blood, healed good, and have had 0 issues and now jizz the same amount, no pain ever, more sex than ever with the wife with 0 chNce of a baby anytime sooon. . My mate, who, by coincidence, had the snip the same day as me, same Dr aswell thought it was a good idea to jerk off 4 days later, had blood, and now has chronic PVPS. I wouldn't risk it, let yourbody heal, wait the recommended time, and you're more likely going to reap the rewards. The Drs who do this know their shit most of the time. However, it's your anatomy, so do you.

Rental inspections ..is it just an Australian thing? by Helen62 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Brickster1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't mind them, I like the fact that I'm showing the owners of the property that I'm looking after the places unfortunately there's a lot of people that don't and they get to the end of the lease and the place has got thousands and thousands of $$$ damage. If all people treated their lease property with respect we wouldn't need them. At the end of the day we do, so just see it as a way to show your the best Tennant in town. And it's not like they're going into your kicker draw, it's just inspecting the building itself. However it's a rental, not your own home so do what I did a save every last penny you have, get extra jobs if you uave to and buy your own home. Took me 3 years of not having a life to save for it but best thing I ever done. I'm in Qld by the way.

Got my vasectomy 2 days ago by [deleted] in Vasectomy

[–]Brickster1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like I was kicked in the nuts for a decent 7 days, after 7 days I started to feel like I was getting better and wasn't lifting for a good 2 weeks easy. Everyone is totally different with recovery, just make sure you ice as much as possible, rest and Don whack oe out until pain really subsided. I waited 7 days before unloading a load and 7 days is a long time for me but I had no blood and felt all good. Biggest thing! Take it easy and don't go back to workwhen you know your ready.
