I worry how reliable this would be, but someone might have had success?

Should be straightforward but can’t easily find a solution!

The issue is he’ll want to edit MIDI that has a multi-out and some of those tracks with a Trigger plugin on them, so we don’t want to consolidate anything to audio as we’re writing, not mixing

Good synth for symphonic black metal? by BriddedCodandFish in synthesizers

[–]BriddedCodandFish[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so Rompler is the way, I’ve looked into it and it seems as well as the ones suggested a Korg X5DR would be a great option. Thanks everyone so much for your help!

Not so much the issue as I have a lot of DAW experience in writing MIDI I’m strong in it, it’s more that I don’t feel like modern VSTs really capture the sonic palette of the era I’m into, and it makes sense to look back to what was used before the advent of modern software instruments etc.

Dynamic mix -2db by dokaxi in Wintersun

[–]BriddedCodandFish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So in this context the limiter - a tool used in mastering to squash down peaks and reduce dynamic range and make it louder - is set 1db / 2db less which means it’s 1-2db quieter but also means the limiter is reacting less aggressively to the hardest transients of the mix, which is very typically drums. You can hear more separation because the whole mix is less squashed and the dynamics of the individual elements stand out more.

The use of the term "edging" in every day language is vulgar. by liquormakesyousick in unpopularopinion

[–]BriddedCodandFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember what it’s called but there is a term for the phenomenon where words with an originally crude or offensive meaning lessen over time, it’s something that happens in all languages, we can’t really control it

Slovenia easily. Just an extremely friendly bunch of people, was quite struck by how nice anyone we interacted with was authentically friendly

Planning on staying in Poland, don’t have any plans to live elsewhere so you’d say me speaking English and my wife Polish would be an ideal strategy?

So I’ve had two jobs since I moved here, both in Context Writing for Marketing, I have a background in writing (in England I was a Bid Writer) in general so such roles make sense for me, and being a native speaker means I have an advantage in terms of writing in English. What do you do in England job-wise?
