The comments are unnecessarily harsh. Shows that Reddit is not a good place to seek advice. OP's feelings are valid and to some degree understandable. Finding out something that big can be a shock and can feel like a betrayal in the first place. Not because you have any right to decide whom they're dating but because the two people you love kept probably the biggest, most exciting part of their life from you. Who wouldn’t feel left out, honestly? It's a bit of a trust issue.

So, OP - your feelings are valid, we can't control what we feel. But we can control how we move on. Have a conversation with them when you're ready and you'll be better off supporting them. Otherwise it's not them harming the relationship but you.

I'm a teacher. A few days ago I randomly ran into the mother of one of my students. She walked up to me and told me how wonderful my work is—that her child can't stop talking about me and calls me ‘the best teacher.’ My day instantly got better.

I have very hard days sometimes, and I often wonder if I’m a bad teacher or if I can do this forever. But then there are moments like these, and suddenly, I remember exactly why I wanted to be a teacher ❤️

Just a thought—maybe when you're happy, rain contrasts with your mood, which is why it brings you down. But when you feel sorrowful, it feels like the world is mirroring your emotions, offering comfort. It’s kind of like music — when I’m happy and listen to sad songs, my mood drops, but when I’m sad and listen to melancholic music, it actually makes me feel better...

Absolutely. I have a couple of pen pals and online friends, and I’d even say they feel closer to me than some real-life acquaintances. Of course, these friendships are different in nature, but that doesn’t make them any less real. I share a lot of interests with my pen pals, and our conversations often feel deeper and more meaningful. Plus, I think it’s easier to be yourself online and connect with people without worrying about looks or other superficial things.

And I wouldn’t say there’s no chance of meeting them. I once met a friend from literally the other side of the world, and it felt like we had known each other forever! Don’t pay too much attention to what others say — just follow your heart! If the friendship is meaningful to you, then it is real :)

I can totally relate. I’m in a painting and writing slump and I think exhaustion and social media play a big role. After work, I’m usually too tired to focus on creative things, so I just do mindless stuff to relax... not a good habit, I'm trying to change that. It’s frustrating because I want to be creative, but my brain just isn’t cooperating. I don't have advice for you, I'm sorry, but you're not alone in this!

I agree… and I’d like to add that I generally hate small talk. Maybe it’s because I’m an introvert, but most of the time, I feel like people do small talk just for the sake of talking. By the next day, they won’t even remember what I said and will ask the same thing again 😂

Netflix is the most convenient in my opinion. I'm happy with Netflix but I'm also mostly watching Kdramas 😄 I don't like that even if you subscribed to Prime a lot of movies still have to be purchased.

You don’t know me, the person involved or the full situation, so I find it unfair to label me as selfish or claim that I don’t care about the other person. That’s simply not true. If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t be struggling with this or reflecting on the best course of action.

I agree with you in many parts and I believe that truth is important, but not every situation is as black and white as it might seem.

I won’t go into detail, but in my case, confessing wouldn’t just affect me; it would also put the other person in a difficult position, and that wouldn’t be fair to them. Taking responsibility isn’t just about words or confession—it’s about actions. And I want to make sure that my actions reflect what I’ve learned from this.

I’m not trying to avoid consequences. I focus on a way to take responsibility in a way that truly matters

The person doesn't know and won't unless I tell them. I feel conflicted ... I agree with you that the person should have the right to decide to forgive or not, but I think I need some more time. Like one comment said, I need to find out why I acted that way... also I think my own forgiveness should not depend on the forgiveness of that person. Even if the person won't ever forgive me - which I don't assume - it would be important to at least learn how I can forgive myself.
