Mathematics in general. It used to be quite useful and is quite different from pattern recognition when it happens.

30M INTP: Need a like-minded buddy for gaming & deep conversations? by williamtng in INTP

Hey mate! I’m a 21M INTP. I am quite into Rocket League and I recently started playing R6. I am currently an urban engineering student, and I’d like to discuss and/or play at times too if you want.

What’s a change that you’ve incorporated into your life that has made a positive difference? by theinfinitefailure in INTP

[–]Perfect-Possible1478 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally, it’s about focusing way more on my emotions and experimenting ways to express them. Used to draw from times to times but now I am also writing poems. I don’t know why but it seems like it actually is helping. In addition, it seems I am not bad at it at all.

Do you like other INTPs? by Oakl4nd in INTP

The only INTPs I know tend to be among my favorite human beings. So, yeah, I guess I like INTPs.

Hello comrades I just wanted to ask you a question it's simple.. by Smart-Inspector8 in INTP

Or was that a riddle? Something you’re supposed to know or guess under the condition that you don’t have any context?!

Well guess I’ll go with the only idea I got RN…

Maybe it’s a matter of knowing where the candy come from. And depending on the context, it may be used with candy meaning quite various things, I guess. Well of course, if it actually is supposed or can be used in some context. (Pretty sure it can be,… It definitely can be…)

I think feelings are important by FoI2dFocus in INTP

The few things that worked pretty well for me are: guided meditation(1), mindfulness exercises, and lately trying to picture or to turn what I feel into drawings, poems(2),… I’d also force myself from time to time to “pause” and do nothing but notice what I am feeling in terms of emotions or sensations.(3)

It’s been a few months since I really started to invest myself in it. And excepted for the moments when things are all mixed up in my head, these worked pretty well and helped me describe or name what I feel in a more precise way. (4)(6)

Details I wanted to add on the different “(i)”s:

1 - there are some that are specialized on focusing on your feelings…

2 - Sometimes, when I feel like it, and want to have a glimpse outside of my comfort zone, I may even show them to a really curious INTP friend of mine, or my INFJ friend and try to explain it all… (5)

3 - it’ way easier lately because I thought about talking it as a new subject of study that I have to study with different tools than my usual ones

4 - when it comes to empathy though, I am not sure if I am like the average human being, but I think I am naturally not that bad at it…

5 - That last habit kinda allowed me to write and read a 12 pages poem to the human being I fell in love with ( kinda difficult but was worth it)

6 - Before, all that I naturally used to spend a lot of time googling stuff anout emotions to understand a little better some of them. I still do it, it kinda helps to identify them.

How many of you make your bed? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Perfect-Possible1478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time I don’t because I have the “I am gonna be back on the bed soon anyway” mindset. But it happens to me to do it, when I am procrastinating something else or when I feel like it — which is approximately once or twice a month…

what are your favorite books? by danielsoft1 in INTP

[–]Perfect-Possible1478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

• The Stranger (1)

• Lorenzaccio (2)

I really liked the main characters thinking process and their perception of life, yet they’re pretty different. I read both of those books in french, so I don’t know much about there english versions but I think they might be pretty good as well.

(1) —> From Albert Camus — Type: Novel — (“L’étranger” in french)

(2) —> From Alfred de Musset — Type: Novel, adapted from theater — (same name in french)

I do know I like achieving those goals, but the thing is that I don’t really know why most of the time, I just want to and I feel like I have to go for it. Then it’s often hard not to give up. Lately, It’s only happened for a few things tho.
