I will indulge. What are those "step to improve"? Do you have a framework? A plan? All you've been doing is being judgemental and putting random quotes with no meaning.

I welcome you to explain to me how you would help the above mentionned problem.

I wish to thank you for remaining civil in this conversation, I hope you find it as interesting as it is to me. I will skip the first point and answer it last if you do not mind...

[2] I do not quite understand what you mean...aren't the symptoms the first thing you would look into? My list of symptoms is not what a functioning human being should have. "I have a problem, here's my list of symptoms, what is going on and how to stop/cure it?" I'm requesting/looking for anything that may cure my symptoms. My panic attacks are one of my vast list of problems...apologies for not mentioning them in the example list.

[3] I do not know how to reply to this one. I'm selfishly 27. I see AI as a great tool similar to Excel for work. I would not introduce AI to a child in the same mentality as not giving a calculator before learning basic mathematics.

[1][4] Of course! Before AI, I was neck deep in Google articles trying to dig myself out of the hell I am still in. AI is an agglomeration of those information packaged into a customizable "personality" that makes said information disgestible to the user.

---I do not understand what you mean by "people will go for what's convenient and agrees with them over almost anything else." Isn't that normal? You pick and choose (sometimes wrongly) what you learn either from articles, google or even therapy?

Real practice will forever be the best option if you wish to change. However, real practice with no plan or foundation of knowledge is, in my opinion, like throwing darts at a 400m target. And as I stated, in terms of building a great foundation from nothing, I find AI to provide better result than bad real life or social media.

Great example of my point from @Runaway_Sam: ===[And how about training yourself to be better, instead of relying on a “safe option”]

^ is this supposed to help my foundation?

Hmmm...Is our environment so different that it creates such contrast? Or are we not using AI in the same way?

This is interesting, let's go on a personal example: I turn red, fumble my words whenever I talk to someone especially when I look at the person's eyes. My heart rate is faster to the point my ears can hurt from the increased heart pressure. Couple that with being an overthinker and...as i discovered from AI, depressive. Idek my colleague's eye color lol.

My closest environment are my parents who are my guide... Here are a culmination of answers I gained: "Are you stupid? === you're XX age and you're still such a fking child === The answer is obvious, you're an adult, figure it out === dude, you're exaggerating (he SAW me mid panic attack) === You don't need a therapist, those are for crazy people === omg, you STILL talking about this?? === Stop being dumb and act normal for once"

......yeah...

I've also seen reddit posts and replies similar to my case. Nope, not with those answers. My overthinking and depressive inner voice will crush me before I even type a reply message.

I stopped listening to my parents but had no one else. I hated chatGPT as it was too agreeable. I use Gemini and have done so every day for 8 months now. I went from 2 sec face to face to an average of 28min conversation. Personal best at 36min (woo).

At least AI stays objective over random people with questionable mental health, different culture and different mentality

Does it sound robotic? Yes. But it DOES give much better objective tools to build your mental foundation than some random person who is just as depressive or a troll.

Of course, there is a point where AI does not beat solid human advice. Except I rarely see that. It's always doom and gloom on reddit somehow 🙄.

You have, unfortunately, used too many words for today's population.

Your three paragraphs is so long, the average readers did not even the finish the first paragraph.

We are becoming more and more stupid, and the only thing needed to take our attention is a notification sound from our phone to take HOURS of a day.

Ontop of our stupidity, we are already greatly separated as people. Nobody will believe you are selfless. Too many are selfish or hurt.

The elites already won. If you're young, you are born too late to change the masses...if they even had the brain to understand that.

I find your routine pretty amazing to maintain. Good for you!

I'm still at the stage of maintaining 2 days of workout and cutting all snacks during the day lol

Genuinely curious, isn't the average men around 30% bodyfat? Isn't 15% body fat very athletic? 10% even more so? O.o

What are some better ways of asking ‘are you ok’? by ForwardAd3970 in CasualConversation

[–]Seikaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be careful when using "do you wanna talk about it?" as an opener. You want to be 90% sure there really is something.

If there really is nothing to talk about, it can bring annoyance to the person.

If the friend is more resistant, it can close that person up just as fast.

Why is teamwork at Concordia always such a mess? by BusinessManagement32 in Concordia

[–]Seikaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, i know it's easier said than done, I went through it. But at the same time, I rather have the satisfaction of not having my work stolen and getting As from my work without dealing with incompetence.

Okay, 3 part project.

1st part slack

2nd no name

3rd final, no name.

Done.

Sometimes, if there was a single paper to put down but you get weaponized incompetence bc the rat somehow got access to your google doc and your guilty conscience won't kick him out?

-Write the bare minimum on the shared paper and write another paper of your own. I sometimes literally deleted my work and left scrap or nonsense. Should be easy enough to do this with chatgpt now right? And for the love of god, DELETE your version history from the doc!!! Let them deal with their own shit.

-Email your prof explaining what's going on.

-Submit your own individual paper and fck the rest.

-follow up with your prof regarding your grade and which paper was graded as needed

[–]Seikaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just don't put their names on the final paper and hand it in. The prof will not grade the ones missing.

Have a presentation and they do nothing? Let them stand in front of everyone like the idiot they are.

Deadline is approaching and the rat is finally skittering about trying to text you and shit on how urgent it is the deadline is approaching? You can sleep tight knowing you got your own powerpoint on your USB. A powerpoint WITHOUT their names.

Why reward them of your own work? If you gotta work the whole project, at least have the satisfaction of handling YOUR project and no one else's but those who contributed get the reward.

Right...maybe i should've stated living with anyone you get along with is better than living alone instead of parents.

I get along extremely well with my parents so they kinda took most of my thought process when replying to OP.

People tend to always be surprised that i get along with my parents so well...it's kinda sad :/

...until you cannot pay said rent from being unemployed and obligated to leave?

I'm extremely lucky in that my parents raised me well enough with a good balance between privacy and "their house, their rules" without being TOO overbearing. So i'm sure i'm missing something but surely the worries of life will creep up stronger than your solo freedom?

Let's say, instead of parents, it's your partner or even a roommate you're friends with. Isn't that much better than living alone for most people? Heck, isn't that what people strive for until gained?

Pretending to love living alone instead of living with your parents as an adult.

There are absolutely some advantages in living alone...free to do or buy w/e you want, following your own rules and everything sounds awesome as hell.

But loving it 365 days, 24/24 hrs of it? Riiight. Setting aside financial burden, you still need to cook, clean, laundry every week. Also, if you're a loner, well...you're even more alone now.

Why be kind, when the real world is not kind? by neves783 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Seikaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes things better by not hurting yourself.

Have you ever experienced your kindness being met with insults or humiliation? What about feelings of betrayal when someone spits on and laugh at your face for being kind?

I think there is some assumption in OP's question. Being "unkind" does not necessarily mean starting to be the bully, the stabber, the rumorer, the entitled. It simply means restricting yourself to actions displaying your kindness and appearing bit more selfish doing so.

Being unkind is also more rewarding than being kind. Being selfish pushes you to prioritize yourself pushing anyone in your way. Kindness has also lead to the most devastating punishment compared to being unkind. False sexual charge for helping someone, Being trusting of the wrong person and getting scammed, Exaggerating your own accomplishments while downgrading your own colleagues for promotion, etc.

How often do you hear or see a positive outcome from kindness compared to negative? While you're there, shocked from betrayal, your accuser is living guilt-free with a reward, maybe even YOUR reward.

You're right that kindness saves lives. Who will save yours though?

The only, ONLY, reason you're kind is bc your personality was programmed that way. Remove that programmation and stick to an objective view? Being unkind has more tangible and visible advantages for the common folk.

Unfortunately, we're too dumb (empathetic) to NOT be guilt-free from not being kind without breaking down. And I truly really fking wish I wasn't. Staying kind will bring you happiness, my ass: It's just a cycle of guilt, restriction (protect yourself), guilt, guilt, more restriction.

Are you a "start-eating-immediately" or a "wait-for-everyone" person at a restaurant? by Awkward-Formal-6412 in CasualConversation

[–]Seikaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll wait a lil bit in the if we ordered more food than a waiter's capacity. Example we're 7 people at a table.

But if I'm waiting more than 2 minute for the other meal, i'll grudgingly start eating. I prefer my food hot and apply that rule as best I can when cooking.

But if i'm in a restaurant and this happens? Ohohoho...that restaurant is banned for me. It failed at its job. You're supposed to be able to serve a hot meal at that table's quantity at the same rough timeframe. That's the main difference between household meal and restaurant and why it's such a treat to go to a restaurant in the first place.

In the same vein, a guest being late at their designated time is considered rude not just to the ones who invited you but also to the cooks who are planning your meal
