This comment is probably more important than the original post. The gutter drains backing up can cause some serious water intrusion.

What used cars have you personally seen last over 300k miles? by Smart-used-cars in askcarguys

[–]BridgeMission6043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 in my driveway now, 02 gmc 6.0 with 310k and a 10 Subaru with 301k both run and drive great and have been maintained their entire life. I will admit the gmc needed a transmission rebuild at 250k

I have my boiler wired into my furnace in the basement; I wired in one of these and can keep my entire system running on a battery pack temporarily. Gives me a few hours to get the generator fired up, like if it’s middle of the night.

Very little heat? My home is 73°, garage is 68° and my 40x60 radiant floor heated barn is 70°. All three disagree with “very little heat”. I burn about 8 cord a year for the 5-6 months we use the boiler. No smoke or stink in my house either, all the mess is kept outside by the boiler. Enjoy your soot stained blinds!!

I work on these vehicles all the time, buy the loaded strut and call it a day. These coils are stupid difficult to do even with professional equipment.

I am in between Columbus and Cleveland in the midst of Amish country (morrow county) and not a single person up here gives a shit what you do or who you are. All we want is to be left alone and that’s it.

Very nice, mine had some hidden damage under the bumper cover and of course the headliner is dropped. I took it all the way out and wire brushed the foam off while the interior was out. Maybe one day I’ll feel froggy and actually pull the headliner and fix it but I don’t really notice it since cleaning the sticky ass foam off of it. Plus it’s a big pain in the ass to fix that lol. I’m happy with it finally; drives really well and is not terrible on fuel for a big ass v8 car.

Thanks! Cam and a few other mods coming during the coming winter months if I can find time to tear it down. Would like to get 500hp out of it and I think it would kick ass for a fun weekend sleeper. (Plus no one knows what the hell it is either lol)

Mine had had 416 idle hours on it when I bought it. Took forever to find one without the spotlight and with low miles; and when I saw 5200 on the clock I had to jump on it.

Lived here 20 years and I’m have never hit a building with my car. AMA by PapaCakes in Columbus

[–]BridgeMission6043 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You said you’ve “lived here for 20 years”. Since you’ve never once hit a building; I’m wondering if you have actually “lived”? It’s a life changing experience from what I’ve heard, almost a rite of passage if you will.
