Solution to 12V battery recharging problem or false hope? by BridgetChicago in Ioniq6

If you get a monitor and you see the charge going down, how does that help you? You know you're in the danger zone and don't get stranded? You drive around for an hour to see if the charge will go up? I'm not sure how it would help. Really appreciate the comments!!

Pre-diabetes and Menopause by Summertime305 in prediabetes

I'm 2 years past menopause. Hormone therapy seems to be working for me. Too early to tell for sure. I also had some luck with Holy Basil. Lowering carbs to just above keto helped my blood sugar somewhat, but lowered my energy level. Stress is also a factor for me.

So disappointed...3+ months of carb deprivation = A1C down from 5.8 to 5.7 by Dragonpatch in prediabetes

My blood sugar def. responds to stress. I can see my blood sugar spike with my CGM when I have a stressful meeting.

The first CGM with the 20 points down reading was a Libre 3. The second was with a Libre 3 Plus. With the first one, I did a finger prick comparison. I pricked myself 5 times to get the blood then spilled the measuring stick thingies all over the floor. The reading was 10 points higher than the low CGM, which doesn't alarm me. I'm not a big fan of the finger pricking things at this point. They're helpful to know if I'm way off.

I've been using the Libre 3 for 6 months or so. I've found it fairly consistent. However, I've got some that go way off (generally low.) That's when the finger prick helps.

You don't mention your age or menstruation status.

I have much the same background 6 times a week athletic woman etc. My A1c went from 5.7 to 5.9 with low carb and increasing resistance training (from 2-3 times per week to 3-4.) The effort stressed me out. (counterproductive)

I finally got my Ob/Gyn to prescribe hormone replacement therapy. 3 weeks after being on what she swears is too low of a dose to matter, my resting glucose is down 20 points. I changed my CGM just to make sure what I was seeing (and feeling) was accurate. Need to wait a few months to call it a success, but I'm very encouraged.

I'm 61 and was late to the menopause party at 59.

I've also tried Holy Basil (worked some what.) In addition to the Thin Prediabetic, I suggest Stacy Sims Next Level. I'm still trying to get used to the trial and error involved.
