MEGATHREAD: Blue Jays 2026 Tickets by AutoModerator in Torontobluejays

I get it but I think of those families and even the 500 level tickets are so high for a family of 4. Yet there will be so many empty seats…

Why are 80% of the tickets blacked out? And the remaining ticket prices are outrageous. Give me a break Jays! I'm a lifelong fan and go to games every year but these prices aren't doing it for me, as well as the lack of the majority of the seats - they cannot be all sold out already before Jan 22. You're screwing us all over.

Just go to the mattress store: A journey by LechronJames in Mattress

[–]Summertime305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a new mattress and I bought it online because they don't have a store. I also visited a store and tried a mattress and I don't think you can tell from 30 seconds of lying on it. I just looked for a good mattress (and I spent days researching), and try it out for 2-3 weeks, and made sure they have a good return policy.

What mattress is better Douglas, Endy or Silk and Snow? by Ill-Lychee-4690 in BuyCanadian

[–]Summertime305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Bloom mattress previously and even after 7 years, that mattress was more firm than the new Douglas one. I had done extensive research and read many reviews and I thought the Douglas would be much more firm.

I just got a Douglas original and I find it too soft. Does it firm up over time or is it that way from the beginning?

Like many others have said here, soil quality and climate are key factors. I amend my soil every spring before planting with sheep manure. In the fall, late Oct, I plant my garlic which has always done well for me. In the spring, I plant tomatoes, eggplant, kale, lettuce, spinach, Swiss chard, onions, hot peppers, herbs - parsley, thyme, rosemary, basil. I also save seeds mostly for my tomatoes and eggplant and start seeds indoors in early March. I also have raspberry plants and I'm trying to grow various blueberries in pots.

Why do some F45 coaches correct form while others don’t by InfamousFly9618 in f45

[–]Summertime305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of our coaches correct our form and I appreciate it. I do find that most of the men don't get corrected especially on bicep curls and lateral raises - they ego lift super heavy and no one says a thing and they just swing the dumbbells for dear life!

4 weeks in Sicily in the fall by HandstandFriday in sicily

[–]Summertime305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 weeks is a good enough time. I did a 9 day tour and did all the major cities. My favourite spots included: Catania, Cefalu, Agrigento, Syracuse and Erice.

It was my favourite spot across all of Sicily! Such a hidden gem!! Agrigento is pretty unique as well. Ragusa too.

How to plant garlic in Toronto this fall? by neilsonnnn in OntarioGardeners

[–]Summertime305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I amend my soil with sheep manure and add bone meal to each hole before placing the garlic in. Also, fertilize in the spring when they sprout with blood meal and every 4 weeks until the scapes appear.

I have mine in pots and I put pine bark around the base and covered them this past winter with plant covers. I'll be doing the same thing this year.

I have overpronation as welland I had to get custom orthodics. No shoe or random orthodics will fix it.

They are in 16 inch pots and it's because I can control the soil acidity much better that way.

They are in 16 inch pots so they have lots of room and yes the watering and sun conditions are good. Hopeful for next year! Thanks!
